looks like both areas of support held and we bounced bcak up to touch the 5sma through yesterday, will look to see were this is going and try to get in at a lower price, i don't see it going much beloew .90 in AU and 100.00 in AJ.

lets see what today brings.
8990 is the support in AU and 99.80/90 in AJ.

Will be interesting to see if price holds above .9000 in the NY session. Normally if theres no pullback in the NY session when we have had a daily range of approx 100 it's a good indication there is strong buying power behind the move.

i think we will test of 8980 in AU and 99.50 a few times today while things gather them selves for the return to the highs.

no trades open, just watching.
Obvious to you trading gurus but not to me (a relative newbie)

Pin bar on the daily chart for the Aussie. It bounced right off of resistance which makes me think we will see a good ride down in the next few days. I think we could quite possibly see .8800.

I see a good amount of support at 8900ish, but if we clear that, we should attack the supportig TL agian aorund the 8800 area. lets see what happens.

There are some good books out there for understanding Intra-market Analysis, understanding the business cycle and how that has a major impact on the relationships between stocks, bonds, foreign exchange and commodities and correlation of markets. John Murphy has a good book and apart from books there is a good link at http://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/businesscycle.asp for understanding the business cycle.

As example for the benefits in understanding the business cycle when economic expansion is coming to an end bonds would normally turn down prior to commodities and stocks and the other way during a slowdown. Understanding this cycle relationship could help you understand the possible long term fortunes of currencies. if you were to look at the commodity based rallies and currency based rallies then the Australia and Canadian dollar are closely tied to the fortunes of the commodity rallies because both these countries are big produces of commodities and natural resources. So keeping an eye on the CRB index and bond market may give you an early indication of a long term trend reversal or continuing trend.

Not trying to add to much here I just thinks it's an interesting subjects and can add a good amount of value to your trading. Understanding what markets correlate with what markets is useful but understanding what drives that correlation is also useful. Not understanding the correlation is a bit like using and indicator and not understanding what algorithm drives the indicator.

I myself was short @ 0.9314 on AU in the middle of last week, only to see it go up to 0.9400. After a drawdown like that it is really hard to get into the profit mindset, as you're happy to just break even... and now I'd be a few grand richer had I waited a few days to close the position.
SNAP....I shorted at 9320 with a 70p stop.
If we aren't supposed to eat animals..... why are they made out of meat??

8780 looks like the bottom to me, any other ideas.
I believe we could definitely see a break of the .8750 as the price has bubbled over the last months. However I do not see a significant break happening this month. I consider that a large monthly range of 650 has already been achieved for November so downward risk seems limited. Unless we get a strong economic reason and most of them have past for this month I'm thinking that we should see the price supported around .8700 - 8750 for the month.

I will be looking for a re-entry point for a long if it breaks back to re-test the .8750 with a tight stop just under .8700. I will be taking some profit at .9000. If it doesn't happen I will be staying out.

Just my view and I'm sure there are many. No certainties just probabilities.

Don't see us testing the lows unless the dow totally tanks. We're closer to 9000 than 8800

Here's my analysis of AUD/JPY. This may not happen but there are several factors contributing to the promise of a short bull run on this pair to 104.50.
