plunge ? i don't think that is going to happen anytime soon. still holding long position. will wait and see fed's rate cut

To my surprise my system is telling me of a possible short if it gets below 1.44, so I've put a limit order on... see what happens!
T/P is around 150 pips and I'll certainly be setting my S/L to break even early.

same here. short @ 1.4425 for about 300 pips.

I've got the signal to short but until it goes below 1.44 my limit order won't be triggered and the order expires 12 hours after I put it on. I'm still long but have stops set where my short limit order is.

May i ask you why you think that E/$ goes down?
The major support is on 1.4390 on 4h. chart and resistance is on 1.4480/85, spot is 1.4470
NFP expecting drop below 82k and if the news confirm this ,whats happen in this par? Fly in the sky over 1.4530/50 for a fiw minets !

1.4285 to 1.4315 us my target for long entry, not sure if NFP will give us that today or i will have to wait until next week, i wait and see.

Whoever lost trade today on NFP, you'd better read how to trade with NFP. I wouldn't personally news trade today on NFP data, but things will get better right?

can anyone give me any insight on what is happening with the Euro/USD? I have been trading for several years, and I just cannot explain it. NFP prints double its expectations, and the Euro blasts to a new high? What is going on!? I am not saying we should have seen a rout to the down side, but geez, where is all this strength comming from? Any help would be appreciated---I am obviously missing something!

The initial reaction to buy $ after the news gave those who hold large amount of $ and want to get rid of them a good opportunity to dump a high volume. After it started retracing the shorts had to bail out and sent it to the high of the day. That's my guess anyway.

What is happening with this pair, it is a mystery!!
Not only with this pair but with USD.

And we continue to see a lot of people talking to see 1.50 next January.

Hey, Mr.Trichet, please Wake-Up.
Where the Hell are Europeans to start to react firmly to stop this nonsense!

Daily RSI is very divergence, and if we analyze Daily Chart from 1980 we can't see something looks like what is happening now.

I am really confused, and I will stop trade this pair, if next week we do not see a USD reaction to at least 1.4320, I need to close some shorts I have from 1.4180.
For me it is enough, until the end of the year, I will trade only for daily few pips, no more medium term!

We better hope it does not go further than 1.4525 from now on.

I also have no idea but my guess is that it is selling power + GBP and CAD.

I agree with you, BoredtoLose, this is really insane. They say "the market is always right"....so I must be out of touch. I will wait for some sort of retacement next week as well, and if we keep going north to 1.46, 1.47, and beyond, then I too will be closing my shorts and will not trade this pair anymore. It seems that any news, good or bad, is a reason to bid the Euro higher. I guess when it hits 1.50 and US Exports go through the roof pushing the NFP's even higher, that will be a signal to send it to 1.60!!!! I get scared when logic leaves the building and irrational price action rules the day!
