Is this what a diamond could look like? BTW read the book and will take time to saturate braing with the skill you have.

Beautiful picture, ah? Then I was lucky enough to project in advance and to catch the very top of the last diagonal and actually shorted USD/CHF at 1.2148 taking then a nice profit. BTW there is a second and smaller diamond can be seen on the very same picture.

I hope this indicator can help people to calculate avg daily, weekly and monthly range.

If someone can come up with the Avg Yearly range for MT4... I will be very glad.

A choppy triangle like this one usually indicates that there will be two breaks on both sides, which means that the first one is a false one.

Does this pass or fail the Diamond Test ? I ask because if it is enough of a pattern to call a diamond then it answers a question I had on why the first half (triangle) of this pattern is relevant. Thanks to all who ask and Igrok who shares his thoughts

It's a classic broadening triangle, which is a continuation pattern.

It's funny to see that given the circumstance AUD/USD has indeed penetrated the choppy triangle borders in both directions on that hourly chart we had discussed above. One can never get tired of watching the market doing what it is supposed to do but at the same time avoiding doing what's been expected.

Igrok, i can get your point on that potential of gbpjpy diamond pattern.
But if i'm not mistaken the main diagonal (so far) looks to me it is pointed toward break on upside ? Could you please tell me what makes me wrong in reading that? tia

This one is a two-diagonaled diamond. A slight difference in diagonals' length unlikely to affect this fact. (In case it is really going to be a diamond)

I see "enough" opportunity here. imo entering from level 1.1520-50 with stop just below 1.1500 and target 1.1680 is worth to try. Anyone ?
