I started with stocks, bonds and options in 95 using BOMIS (Bank of Montreal InvestorLine). Trading currencies since late 2004 and like it much better then equities...

well thanks, but everybody can succeed in forex. You don't need to be a genius, or have an advanced degree in economics, etc. Just a logical system and sound money management.

If you fail in forex (blowing off account after account) then you need psychiatric help....

I traded demo for 1 year and learned lot ..... and I just finished 1 year trading live. I'm still here ... I have more money in my account than I started with a year ago. This year I really learned how to get my money management under control. I also added 8 more pairs that I will follow and trade. I'm looking forward to another year.

Yeah!!i learned a lot from that experience..i even pay(eventhough not debts)my old clients money..cos i felt responsible abt everthing..Now,im almost 30..n i still love trading.

Well here is my 2cents-

The question asks about experience. I am new to the board, old to the industry. Started trading early 1980's-- Made lot's of money for the entities I worked for. Career brought to an abrupt halt in 2003. Some of you may remember a cold day in November when the market was moving, liquidity was generous, spreads were fine and CNN- Bloomberg-- Reuters broke a story of appx 50 traders, brokers, and so forth were, for lack of better words taken into custody in an elaborate forex scam, courtesy of Uncle Sam. Yes, I was part of that group, whose career as a trader was brought to an end.
I am not sure what I want to say on the board tonight- I think I would like to be an active participant-- My advice could be of help. Jusr remember Big Brother is always watching

I've got 15 months trading fx under my belt. Almost nobody on FF has experience because almost everybody washes out. Trading currency is so tough you might as well be trying to play pro sports for a living. Your odds of making it full time, trading out of your house, with your own money, is probably 1000 to 1. I plan on being in this game 10 years from now, but i'm not crazy either; so i'm working on a second business.
How you act is more important than how you feel.

Forex for the Last 2years.
Year off before that.
1 year before that, Options then Futures.
3 year before that, Stocks


First 18months cost me $1400 Area
Last 6months has cost me $12 literally with over 280 trades made.
Here is hoping the next 6 months makes $12

I traded Demo alot in the first 18months aswell, but doesn't work I just make more Virtual $$$'s than my wildest dreams.

Looking at my account chart, 07 could and should start to see some good profits, end of 08 I guess until it's enough to live off, but got to hope for sooner.
Nothing to it, but to do it!!! Stick to the plan FOOL!!!!

i dont remember exact time when i started, but i belive it was about 2years and 3 months ago. but i had several breaks durning that time, didn't had chance to be online every day
