Thank you so much for sharing this! Another beginner here, I really appreciate your honest insights.
Since you have clearly studied these traders in depth, could I politely ask you a follow-up question? Could you name the specific methods that actually work best for the traders you just mentioned? My goal is to filter out the methods that don't work in real life so I don't waste my time. If you could point me to a few crystal-clear concepts from these specific guys that work exceptionally well, it would be a massive help for my learning journey!

I would read the courses they sold and work out what suits YOU - I have taken bits from MANY traders and created my own way

The all operate on the basis that the markets are based on maths and geometry, hence the use of angles, circles, cycles etc (which is true)

You're only going to work out what works for you if you study the concepts and test

Gann back in the 1900's told us the easiest thing to do and I'll run this out for you below - remember 90-95% of traders don't make it!

Note all these great traders advise follow trends

Note - these trends happen as a natural result of the cycle, so you don't even need to understand or know the cycle causing it, you just develop some methods to identify the trend and hey presto

If you try to RUN before you can walk, you will come a cropper in this business

Same as i said to the other fella, Thankyou so much for the help.

Its so good to finally find a thread where people are not taking advantage and just want the best for people they are sharing space with. Ill be honest i have been doing this long enough now to know the risk management and psychology etc from the markets and lots of different books on the subject, ow its just about honing my skills with geometry and identifying entry and exit points as the system i currently have i dont think its very good unfortunately. Years down the line but hey ho , we go again

Ill be honest ive started with MAs, then built my own algos with different indicators that took me a few years, during that time i taught my friend everything i learnt when i went to a very very expensive fibonacci course, his method was better so started with that. trying to improve it so read up a lot on fibos, eventually stumbled onto connie and her way of doing it, paid for her courses and was learning that but i was told about jenkins angles method to also encorporate time.

There is just so much information out there and ive sunk that many years into it I just need somebody to say "Im a full time trader and i use _______"

Then that would be that. Getting half overwhlemed by the amount of misinfomation and indecision the internet causes with these fake gurus.

Even just then my mums dr said he is making so much money because of a course from the 1%ers or something. Head battering to say the least, like is it even possible without being a piece of shit scammer

I use MSJ knowledge along with Hurst Cycles, Tillman/Focal Points and murrey math. This combination create high probability setups and makes the strategy profitable, even though I'm still in the early stages of profitability.

Oh what the hell

In the Gann course I showed above he mentioned Sharp falls in a short period of time and second rallies

Here's some Examples - you can make a hefty % gain just from trading these on a WEEKLY time-frame

Make sure for best results that these spike downs happen in BULL TRENDS - Try trading these in a BEAR trend and you'll know about it

I would trade it from the lower time-frames

Here's another method

I first learned this back in 2012 - it ventures into harmonic patterns and wyckoff and gartley patterns etc - I first became aware of it when Gann talked about lost motion in his courses

I set a FIXED % based swing file on a chart - all these examples are WEEKLY charts but you can do this intra-day!

You can make many many R with this method

We are looking for a M shape pattern - It will create a 5 wave move NOT Elliott Wave, ideally #5 goes past #1 and #3 but as in this example it can be a nice narrow bar right at a double bottom location

This one is a PERFECT example - you would buy in at #1 low, stop under #5 and target #4 as a min - get the stop to BE ASAP then trail up - you would only buy at #1 once #5 has gone past #1, then you wait for price to move back UP past #1

If you can't see the M with a 5 wave swing move then leave it and you want the range of risk (Entry to Stop) to be as small as possible, widen it and you start giving R back

You could if you like just set the swing file and buy/sell when price returns into a prior swing, but the win % of doing that is low, you can still make hundreds of % a year doing it, but you have to be happy to accept big drawdowns - That is something for me I am not prepared to do

You will find the weekly stochastic indicator catches EVERY SINGLE TURN at #5 - with most being in the <25% zone, this depends upon where you are in the price action move, if as in the example where it was in an established bull trend, the indi will be 50% ish then reverse

I just set the swing file @ 13% - if you experiment you might need to set it at say 18% for some markets and less for forex/indexes

Last one for a while

I call this one tweezers because the swing looks like a pair of tweezers

Very fast swing up followed by a very fast few bars swing down - if it works the target is the pinch point of the tweezers and swing high

in this example the X didn't trigger a trade and ended up not even working - the tick on worked

I'll leave it up to you to figure out how you'd trade it etc

Stop goes right under swing #1 or #3 - up to you
