I believe you are correct about the trendline break, lets see if it can past 115.58 PP area.

i dunno if i'm allowed to do this.. but there's a great opportunity to short at cable right now.. got in at 2.0195 TP 2.017 (very conservative) hehe.. SL at 2.0230.. looking good.. looking good.. but not good lookin!

ok, what's going on here - the pair took off on aussie news release and never looked back. I see no connection here - am I just naive?

Hello Everyone,
Thought I would check in and see how everyone is doing on the pivots..... But I see that most everyone is focus on the trend and that is great...... But I also notice that most of you are not taking the trends to it max which is a great deal of pip lost.

Yesterday, Tuesday I got in on the trend down at 116.40 at 20:00 ET...... I rode this trend until 16:53 ET this evening with a closing at 115.28..... Got back in on the trend down at 17:03 open at 115.21...... I had close this trade at 114.85 at 19:32...... I am now in the trend going up - entered at 20:00 with an open at 114.93.....

I notice a lot of you traders are waiting on a certain level when the trend had already kicked in and my question is: WHY?

If you put the figures together you would notice I made about 150 pips in less than 24 hours.... And now, I'm in again going the other way..... What I am saying is do not worry about levels if you are going to trade the trend.... get in and stay with it until the end...... You will make a lot more pips this way then trying to figure out what level is the best...... Because in the trend, all levels are the best.

good to have you back DOVE... ... i'm riding long and started at 115.33.. i really don't know when to take profit.. and like you said.. i leave too early..

like NOW.. while i was writing this message.. mi limiter kicked in (115.52).. i actually made a pretty good profit.. but now im thinking... could i have made a little more.. Dove, could you give me a little tutoring about taking profit.. also.. how do you determine the start of a trend.... i kinda have to wait for it to kick in (maybe i wait too long).. what time frames do you use to determine trends?

i only saw the downward trend break at 115.20... how did you know that 114.93 was the right time to get back in? Was it the RSI.. the BB, the Slow?

OK - most of you traders want this on a silver plater in which I will not give it so easily... And why? Because then, you will not learn.....

It is time for you to do your work and your study in order to get what I have..... I use only two type of indicators to determine my trends, the entry of those trends and also the exit, and that is it.... The two type of indicators are the Linear Regression and Moving Averages..... Which MA's and parameters is where you will have to find yourself..... It may take you a month or two, or longer, to get close to what I have...... But you know what? During this time of research you will learn a lot.

There are crossings that happens at each of the triggers for the trends..... So don't think for a moment that default will be answer on those LR's or MA's because default is not the answer. You will have to do your research and try and try again until you find the correct base and parameters for each of those indicators...... So go at it.

fair enough dove... i'm a noob.. that's why im asking so many questions.. i actually have another question... wutz the difference between SMA and EMA... ? is it recommended to use both? or just stick to one using different parameters...

You shorted 6 pips shy of the high (116.46) and covered 3 pips shy of the low (114.82)...? That's incredible.. though I'm a bit skeptical.... Since neither of those two levels coincided with S/R pivots nor 50% midpoints, what gave you the entry/exit signals?

edit- sorry, I missed the post above where you mention it was the result of linear regs and MAs. Still, that's amazing entering/exiting on the high and low to such a degree. You never had a signal to cover all day during the US session with those 3 separate 30-pip retraces?

Pivots got nothing to do with trends...... As I said above, having the right indicators for the trends will get you in on the beginning and get you out at the end...... One thing is for sure, my indicators do not lie.....
