could be , but tbh US Treasury yields are still sitting at recent highs, and everyone is buying and holding USD. JPY is chained to US bonds; a BoJ intervention could happen, but it will be a total waste of Japanese reserves because unless the market starts buying bonds to push yields down, USD/JPY will just snap right back up after any intervention attempt

pullback held that intervention low...grinding higher again, maybe look for a long again this morning...

PA got very close to ATH but BOJ intervened, I really doubt we will see a real drop before breaking ATH, alot of stops are accumulated there.

Most probable scenario IMO, pa will be hovering around 162 with tight range between 161-162 for the next days/weeks, traders will gain confidence BOJ will defend 162 and then one day pa will breach through 162, sweep all the stops to turn back and drop hard to sub 155 level.

I'm not sure they'll be able to bring it down to 155 while the trend is still up—it's very expensive. There's no point in intervening right now; the three days allowed won't change the trend—we need more triggers or a long period of sideways movement.

Although the USDJPY price action on the H4 time frame is sideways at the 161.257 horizontal resistance, the technical structure and prevailing technical impulse favour further northward price action. This may target the horizontal resistance at the 161.880 area before southward turnaround or correction.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.
