We continue to hold the position, with a stop at 159.26 in case of market intervention, we have a pending sell order at 159.24.

Poking the bear?

Seems like a new uptrend since late yesterday for now...looking for a possible long somewhere, but I'll be quick about it...

The USD/JPY price continues to move higher. It also broke through the upper edge of the triangle, further confirming bullish sentiment. The resistance level at 161.17 could be the target for further upward movement.

2024 high is the next target, trading in this zone is risky as hell, and boj seems to be so quiet and not even trying with verbal warnings

Interventions are based not only on price levels but also on the rate of growth. I think they have one more left this year, and there’s no point in using it right now.

Confused about the Macro narrative here. JPY raises rates by 25 bps, USD maintains current rates.
So is the rise in the dollar after the fact forward looking?
Is the market expecting USD tightening in the future?
I still view 161.95 as resistance, but perhaps I should be waiting for a breakout?

traders are selling they know its the zone for BoJ to interven,, UJ won't move lower until sellers are taken out

It seems to me that a “new era for the yen” is beginning; if Japan does not intervene in the next 3–5 days, we will see entirely new exchange rates. Even now, it’s very hard to imagine a rate of 150–155, and traders are becoming increasingly bold.

To be honest Its possible today lost 900 so its good time to pay back when BOI will do something. I dont expect it will go so high.
