I've been in their discord server since the last 3 days aswell and there's been a LOT of disputes. With people complaining about profits being deducted from their accounts due to "gambling" and the 50$ price disparity that happened on gold a few days ago as someone mentioned above.

I do think about 75% of the people who're screaming about the "gambling" issue, when asked for their PnL and looking at it, I would 100% classify it as gambling.

But I also understand that some people have a VERY high RR strategy (sniper entries) that makes them 70-80%+ of the profits that they request in 2 trades if not 1. This, imo yes, does look like it's gambling when it's been only about 4-5 trades.

But I genuinely think rather than deducting the profits off the account automatically, they should encourage more trading history. Or if they want to be absolutely "transparent" like they advertise, just tell us the RR they look for that's classified as "gambling" or introduce a stupid consistency rule that they so hope for traders to follow.

I am in stage 1 of a Hola Prime 2-step prime account, up about 5%. As far as I understand, no more than 1% risk on a trade "idea" meaning multiple entiries and/or closing and re-opening again within an alloted time and must place a SL. Must have atleast 7 days of 0.5% profit (I chose monthly for the 95% split) . If one can make 8:1 with less than 1% risk, that certainly isn't gambling, it's simply a great entry.
As far as the 1%, on a 100K account, it's $1,000. Your max loss is 10K, so in reality you are risking 10%.
I'm confident I will earn and get my payouts with this firm.

100% you can get a payout, and the fastest in the game if anything, if you follow all the rules properly.

But one correction, It's not a hidden 1% risk rule on funded. You CAN risk up to 2% based on the same "idea" and shouldn't follow the same direction within 10 minutes of your previous trade's close. Doing so will count as an extension of the % risked.

And I understand that it's a sniper entry which is why I reckon they should allow for more trading history to be evaluated upon.

It's a 1:8 risk to reward ration in the end, He statistically will eventually lose some of those profits made. Requesting a payout based on just 1 winner ( which he confessed to being on a trump's tweet drop and him modifying the TP ) with less than a dozen trades surely seems a little suspicious to anybody.

I understand it's not the traders fault, but this whole shithousery with calling hola a scam for "gambling" is a very loud minority, as of today.

Oh, it's 2%? Yes I knew about the re-entry just wasn't sure of the time frame. I risk about 0.8% in stage 1 and cut it in half stage 2 and funded....and I always apply it to the current max loss...so if an account is in DD, it's not 0.4% of the starting balance, it's 0.4% of the current equity.
I had great success with FTMO, MFF, TFF and a few others back in the day.....being in USA, switched to futures (blessing in disguise) when the fit hit the shan
. I am now hoping back in the CFD firms such as Hola Prime, FTMO and probably the 5%ers....still mostly going to trade DOW and S&P, but the huge benefit over the futures firms is the static DD.
Of course, the huge benefit of the futures firms is copy trading and once you hit certain thresholds DD becomes static anyway

why does Hola Prime candle start at .05, like 1H candle of 00.00 start at 00.05 and close at 01.05, M15 starts at 00.05 and close at 00.20

Yessir! Makes it easier but also riskier for one to pass/lose quicker. And I love that risk management system. I follow a nigh-identical system and it has shown me great success too

I would highly recommend you 5%ers, I believe they are one of the best in the game, but as of right this second, their payouts take about 5-8 business days which is a pain. as little as 5 business days literally translates to over a week

I need to learn much more about the future prop firm space once I master GU and move onto futures in a year ish!

Nothing back from Hola Prime Support so sending an email directly to the CEO. Check out the 2 charts....first Hola Prime, then IG. Hola prime with 300-400 spikes on 1min vs IG's normal chart (I could have shown charts from another 8 and they all agree with IG's)

Can you trade your account with the 5ers during that 5-8 day window? If not, definitely a no go for me, thats' 25-40% of your trading month.
With technology today allowing payments in under an hour, sometimes minutes, with many firms, 5-8 days is completely unacceptable regardless of any circumstances.

If you haven't done your KYC interview, then you cannot. So usually the first timers payout, they DO block your account. And it was SO FRUSTRATING for me. For 7 trading days ( also because the earliest interview was scheduled 5 days from the mail, and the mail take over a day to be sent ) They had me on lock down.

But after you're done with the KYC interview, they let you trade ( Which is the state where I'm at currently, just for clarity purpose ). And the good thing ( if you want to consider it that way depending on the system ) is that the trading days keep on running since the day you requested the payout. Now, yes, they do require a minimum of 3 profitable trading in a bi-weekly ( which can be tough to accumulate if you want to be absolutely strict to the 14 days from payout's day and now have only 3 trading where you HAVE to be profitable ) payout or 7 days in monthly.

I do agree 5-8 days is abhorrent. But apart from Hola prime in the CFD space, under an hour payout seems like a blessing. Please correct me when I'm wrong.

Has anyone tried these new firms mentioned by Josh, Fundex and Fundedhive?

After getting burned by Rev one I'm a bit apprehensive about trying new firms, but their models do look interesting especially Fundex that pays a monthly bonus.

Thoughts?

Most CFD props as far as I know do. 5%ers did, hola prime does, funding pips does, GFT does. I also heard that fundednext does but it's wayyy more chill than anyone in the space, and I can't speak on FTMO because I haven't been linked with them yet.

So yes, CFD space is a little more cooked.

I have been trading for 18 years and first time trying out prop firm.... I passed phase 1 and 2 in 5 days, but until now they haven't get back to me about me successfully completed phase 2 and reading all the negative reviews kinda make me take a pinch of salt with this prop firm. So here I am trying to search for my positive reviews then I realize that trust pilot and many other positive comments appears to be internal job. well, I will see and update my honest review here.
