Well, as I said, I set everything up the same way as with the previous EA, and it worked without any problems. Do I need anything else besides the EA and the settings you sent me last time?
But I assume everything should already be included in that EA.

No, you don't need anything else besides the EA. You can use the set file I provided or use your own.

I don't know what the problem might be. I deleted everything and re-uploaded it—both the EA itself and your preset. I even tried it with a different broker, but the result was the same real trades still aren't opening at the bottom, only in the EA.

And when I close MT4 and reopen it, the trades disappear.
(The only thing I changed in the screenshot is the stop-loss to 4%, because I also tested it on FTMO, where the daily loss limit is 5%. Otherwise, I left your preset unchanged.)

Tell me this, can you place a trade manually?

I have seen something like this before, it was some permission from the broker but forgot exact details.

Another thing, some broker has 2 sets of pairs, with and without suffix, maybe not for yours?

Yes, I noticed both of those things. Neither FTMO nor Roboforex have any suffixes after the symbol. I tried entering a test limit and it works, so I don’t think there should be any problem with that. Plus, the previous Followcandle EA was also running on that Roboforex account.
Besides, I don't even know how the positions ultimately performed, because once the trades are closed in the EA table, nothing changes there—not even the balance.

I think I might know what the problem is. I checked the strategy logs in MT4, and when I run it, it can’t find the “Hull_Moving_Average.ex4” file in the indicators. Could someone upload it here for me?

You have got something else going on.

I suggest start with only 1 blank chart, nothing else open, apply the EA.

As far as I see, Hull is not required.

You said you can place a limit order, but that still is not opening a trade.

Just open a 0.01 position and see if you can do that, my suggestion.

There is no problem with that, I can open the position manually..

I just tried it and it's the same. Open position only in the table on the chart not in real.

Very odd indeed. I am extremely surprised that you are getting no messages on the Experts or Journal tabs ? I have noticed that the HMA is included in the code, so disabling it was a long shot anyway.

I don't understand at all what else it could be... I have installed a lot of EAs in MT4 and MT5, so I know what needs to be enabled etc. But here I really don't know what to do..

- only one chart open 1H timeframe
- Manual trading works
- Auto trading enabled including DLL
- I have tried both the default settings and the settings posted here by the author.
- I have also tried disabling filters.
- The symbols have the same name
- I have no error in the strategy tab

I assume that leverage has no effect on this, the previous EA from the same author worked for me without any problems.
I tried both FTMO and Roboforex.

Crowded chart, I know, who remembers the 4H Pin Bar from the previous 'last' week?

It was at 50% back, see what happen this week, and now breaking last week low, which is a go for trend, breakout traders.

Just to let you know, exactly the same is also happening to me. I have 3 other EA's running with no issue, but this one isn't opening live orders but the info panel has open trades. No errors in journal or experts tabs.

We are in the same situation.. With roboforex it didn't give me any errors and with FTMO I had an error "Hull moving average". But I solved it by downloading this indicator from the author in another thread and the error doesn't appear anymore.
It seems more like an indicator than an EA that would currently open real trades.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!

Please replace V2.5 for this new version 2.6!

Sorry guys, I was away on business and I couldn't do anything until I got back to my PC.

Thanks for pointing out that bug, it's fixed now and the EA is no longer dependent on the indicator being needed. It should work fine now.

As always, if you pick up anything odd, please let me know.

EDIT: Fixed a small bug that was blocking the HMA filter.

Please download again.
