If I trade mechanically using the following pattern:
H1 timeframe
HA candle is above MA 2 Stochastic + RSI above the 50 line, then buy; below, then sell SL at the wick of the previous candle RR from 1-1 to 1-2
Perhaps if I coded it as an EA, it would save me from having to constantly monitor orders. And it could run on 28 currency pairs, right?
I wonder if it would be effective?

In my view, no, because there are a multitude of factors to take into account when deciding on a position.
However, I would encourage you to pursue your idea and backtest your solution so that you can form your own opinion.

Hi Guys...and Girls,

Long time, no see!

I have been wanting to write this post for over a year, so here goes...

Over the last nearly 7 years, my life slowly got "overtaken" because of this thread and some of the people in it. I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just how it was.

1. Try to guess how many of you have PRIVATE MESSAGED me 24 hours a day via FF through the years? (and how many different times each of you may have done it). And I have always responded to the best of my ability when or if I needed to.

2. Try to guess how many of you have TEXT MESSAGED me via my cell phone 24 hours a day, because people text me from all over the world. And I have always responded to the best of my ability when or if I needed to.

3. Try to guess how many of you have CALLED my cell phone 24 hours a day, because people call me from all over the world. And I have always responded to the best of my ability when or if I needed to.

4. Try to guess how many of you have EMAILED me 24 hours a day, because people send me emails from all over the world. And I have always responded to the best of my ability when or if I needed to.

5. Try to guess how many of you have come to my house/office and stayed for as long as 8 hours at a time, and I have never said NO to anyone who asked, and I have never said "Okay, it's time for you to go".

With that all being said, my life over the past almost 7 years became "controlled" by all of those people above reaching out to me for help, or trading advice, or just because became friends...many times over and over and this started happening EVERY day almost non-stop.

Also, many of the posts that I have made here have sometimes taken me 1-2 hours to write or create, edit and post, not to mention the fact that I was checking in on this thread, and usually numerous times a day so it's often very time consuming. And then, often needing to respond to other people's posts.

The breaking point was when my significant other was on vacation for 7 days, and for the first 4 days of her vacation, we literally spent no time together. On the 5th day, she finally came to me and pointed that out.

The ONLY way I could make this "24 hour a day" issue end (items number 1-5 above) was for me to mostly just disappear.

I want each of you to know that I have liked each and every trader here who has ever contacted me in any way. So, me disappearing was NEVER "personally" about any one person, it just all became too overwhelming for me to deal with anymore.

On top of all of that, I have had 3 of my very closest relatives somewhat recently (including myself) who were/are diagnosed with life threatening medical issues or potentially life threatening medical issues but I never wanted to tell anybody here about any of that, because I didn't want any sympathy and I did not feel that I should lay any of that stuff out on a trading forum. I am "okay" now because what was life threatening for me, was surgically removed.

So now, you know for the most part WHY I stopped posting here, but I WILL post more here again about trading in the future as I find the desire or the need.

(David), I have followed you for many years now and I would have thought that the girlfriend and a few weekend casino visits would have kept you busy and in trim, never mind.

Happy to hear that the issue has been taken care of may you continue with good health.

You have provided everyone with a plethora of valuable information re trading, so much so that in my opinion we have been hand held and calling out when we feel as though the road ahead wasn't as clear as we liked, however being a student, and never a master we, have relied on you as "THE MASTER hahahahaha

Thank you for sharing this so openly. It takes a lot to step back and explain the reality behind the scenes, and I think many of us didn’t fully appreciate just how much of your personal time and energy you were giving to help others.

Ben, thank you very much! And, BTW, we just stayed at the casino this past Wednesday, Thursday and Friday., and my girlfriend hit a jackpot for $7,555.00 and I won 2k twice and we came home with almost all of it!

Over the course of the last few months I have painstakingly "evolved" the RSO into something more and I have changed the name because I had to.

I have named it the: RSOR (the blue line in the lower window) RSOR = RobinHood Stochastics Oscillator RSI

Then, I overlaid it on top of the RSO and it now looks like this:
*Note: This is a "cherry picked" example chart just to show how good the indicator "can" be, but this is not the norm when you see it on "most" charts.

Here is the RSOR indicator that I coded for MT4.


I combined the two indicators together. HOWEVER, I have been unable to get the scaling to be correct for the 2 indicators after they are combined, so for now, I just overlay the RSOR on top of the RSO. *If someone here with more advanced MT4 coding skills than me would like to fix this scaling issue, please do and post the revised indicator.

Below are the 2 RSOR's on a MT4 chart. This allows you to see the RSOR (immediately below the candlesticks) being displayed (scaled) correctly (when I overlaid the RSOR on top of the RSO). And then it is displayed again after I combined it, but the scaling is incorrect.

I understand you’re busy, but would it be possible to add the M30 timeframe to RH_RSO_MTF v0.6.ex4?

When trading, we usually look at one higher TF, but according to RH it should be 4–5 times higher, so M30 might be more appropriate for M5.

I tried something similar and it didnt work as expected. If it was that easy everyone would be rich.

I codded something that gives me signals so I dont need to watch the chart all the time but it cant work on its own even with AI integrated, yet

I'm sharing two trend dashboards for mt4. The RSO dashboard made my mt4 freeze.
