I meant to post it earlier , but kept forgetting .

Here's how Monthly Inside bar can be used with long term investment on BITCOIN .

Have you ever noticed ? :

Bitcoin price long term tends to make 80 - 85 % retracement . It already happened in 2014 ( 85 % ), 2019 ( 85 % ) and 2023 ( 80 % ) . See the charts below .

What is interested in regards to this thread is that a long term investment buy could be executed after Monthly Inside bar formed around 80 - 85 % area . This does NOT mean we should use it for a specific buy stop and stop loss below the Monthly IB . We will buy with no leverage through a crypto exchange when the IB forms and HODL .

A regular forex broker will eat all the profit through overnight swaps or even more, if bought long term .

This way I bought BITCOIN long term as an investment already in 2019 and 2023. Both times I targeted a previous all time high .

If history repeats itself , we could see a move to 37.000 to 32.000 area and then a move higher to a previous all time high , or at least 109.000 .

You can guess , what I will be waiting for at that level .

so few ticks violated inside candle low during london, however i buy stop is triggered during US session, is the order has to be placed during US session for US indices ... whats your view about it 99

I wouldn't bother about the few ticks below the IB , as I wouldn't sell it .

An overall pic told me it was likely to go higher than lower . False break below 24.000 - ish area with BUOB ( Bullish Outside bar ) . It didn't have a very good close , but I'm very cautious when taking IB against such a big Mother bar .

In some cases it's best to wait for a confirmation before placing order .

This can be either :
- a false break in opposite direction of entry
- close in direction of an entry with subsequent limit order

1st pic was taken , when I put it in my ,,Passed setups,, and rather put it in my Watch list . Then I meant to wait for a false break above it first . And afterwards I meant to place a sell stop , but had to leave my screen for the rest of the day .
In the 2nd pic you can see , how it sliced through picking up our potential sell stop on its way down . TP would have been hit in just 3 hrs . You can check lower TF for that .

EURAUD , just a few days ago , nice entry after combo IB - pin bar . I was already 2 R in profit but was stopped out with BE trade .

With false break of IB I simply want see a subsequent PA like pin or Outside bar .

I actually meant buy NASDAQ this way last Tuesday , but passed as it didn't have a space for at least 2 R , check the resistance on a pic below . It still gave around 2.2 R trade .

Close in direction of entry with a limit order :

In this Gold setup we can see it was against a very big Mother bar . Although it retested a support , I would still had a problem to buy it . Subsequent BUOB ( Bullish Outside bar ) confirmed potential move and a buy limit can be placed .

Another example on FTSE is a buy limit after IB that I wouldn't buy without confirmation . A limit order can be used here as well .

So as you can see , to answer your Q about time the order is placed is not ,, one size fits all ,, .

However , I still place a stop order right after the IB closed most of the time .

Backtest , take pictures , make a screensaver , practice , practice , practice with proper MM and right mindset .

The longer , the better .

After yesterday close gbpcad daily timeframe has inside day , h12 timeframe too formed inside candle , looks for buy

GBPCAD has multiple times had inside days, inside of inside days, going down, it's Friday, don't get too excited.

You can have a bias when trading Inside Days, but the market will do what the market does.

Now your problem is, to use 40 pips stop or 80 pips stop?
