Does anyone know where I can find good median line indicator for MT4 with option to add parallel lines?

Hello Median Line (Fork traders) of this beautiful and powerful technique that we can trade anything that moves!

I want to ask if anyone from this forum thread wants to acquire my old domain name ForkTrader.com to continue the journey.

It's an old domain name, and because I don't post much about my trading, I wish to give it to someone who can invest in it, make something with it, and allow others to benefit from it!

Since I got involved in many other projects in the last couple of years, I don't have time to keep sharing trading content on my blog!

Where the "fork" is everyone these days?

yes they indeed do. which pivots to pull from can be a challenge. major and minor reaction legs are a good start as is last pivot back, but experiment with a mpl across AB of the fork. like in the picture attached. it can qualify a good fork. of course a test and retest of a C pivot is a good validation the fork could work too.

Can anyone point to one trader who trades with this method on youtube and posts regular content, preferably live trading. What I dont like about this is how the obvious fork to use is always in hindsight but never in the moment. "Look how the lines are respected!" - some trader..yeah, a week later! lol. Clearly this work for some of you and i just dont understand how.

The only living guys I have seen that trades semi-live (meaning they post afterwards a live trade they took) are ICT and some of of his students.
This does mean that they could be running multiple computers or they could be not posting trades that failed and giving excuses about being too busy with family, etc.
That said, they are using Andrews techniques. They just draw all the lines horizontally instead of using the original Andrews techniques.

ICT has told us publicly that Pitchforks are bulls**. That is his opinion. I can guarantee that there is always a fork available that allows for a low risk trade entry using gaps and pivots. ICT calls the gaps fair value gaps and some other names and he calls the pivots highs and lows. Andrews said that it was important to look at the days of the week when the highs and lows forms. ICT says it's important to pay attention to the 20 minute macro from :50 to :10 (products like SierraChart will let you draw the candles starting at :50 if you want to see about that) but if you are drawing forks, you will automatically hit the macros that ICT is talking about.

In trading, ICT says it's is TIME, then price.

I say it is measured moves from the gaps/pivots. Time is going to be a function of the fork slope and when the highs and lows last formed. I believe this is because everybody uses risk management. Imagine that a large trader would probably be doing the same big purchase at the same time of day, day of week, week of month, and month of year. This makes sense to me. The clock in the sky with moon and stars shows us time, which is why we the cycles repeat.

If you want more Andrews materials, andrewscourse on youtube has published more of his old material and he still sells Andrews' original work for a premium price if you are really interested, but personally I think ICT is teaching Andrews and that if you just watch what he is explaining and draw a fork each time, you will see it as well. Eventually you will learn to sell or buy the median lines and wait for the next line to be hit. Your forks will just work and while the ICT students are repeating after ICT, "wicks do the damage and bodies tell the story", you can smile and nod as you are able to capture the wicks because the forks always show the edges of the market and Andrews, like ICT teaches that wicks are gaps.

The best book on Andrews is the one that you write with your own charts. Trust me. It's not what I see or what ICT sees, but what you see that is important.

Few more tips:
-Forks show volatility expansion and contraction. Andrews and Babson talked about As Above, So Below and the movement outside or inside the forks is often reflected on the opposite side.
-Forks show rebalance and gaps in advance (think of them as having a training area with AI and then a prediction area after the three points are drawn)
-Forks show money management - (risk one line to make 3, 5, etc.)
-Forks work on time based and tick charts because time in engineered into their design
-ICT likes to look for smooth edges to be made Jaggy. The fork shows you the smooth edges and the risk/reward for those smooth lines is there before you enter the trade, everything in advance.


Example from today. My forks are always drawn without fib levels. I use measured moves of 100% for each level. Sometimes I will turn on Gann levels like 25, 50, 75 similar to how ICT will grade price.
If you go to ICT's 𝕏 account you will find his execution from the top of this fork to his FVG in the middle. In many cases, like this one, ICT would have done better to use the fork as his exit. He always says his exits are his weakest point. There's a reason for this and I believe it is because he hasn't studied forks as well as he might have if he chose to do so.

Note in the second chart how the smaller blue fork does a 2.5 expansion to hit the yellow fork. Forks are unique in allowing you to actually see the larger time frames on the same chart, making it easier to implement Alexandre Elder's triple screen method which should perhaps be attributed to Andrews as well since again, it is engineered into the method.

ICT trades what cannot be seen in the charts.

Observations on the pitchforks you drew...

Here's a very cluttered H1 chart with a lot of forks, but pivots are labeled for discussion/reference purposes only. These are not "wave" counts.

To big_pipin, and anyone else who's interested: The best way to think it through is to draw each PF on your own chart.

 

1. My discussion below illustrates a powerful and simple notation (I invented, afaik) to discuss ANY line location on a pitchfork. The MedianLine is the +0. The UpperMedianLine is +1.0, the LowerMedianLine is -1.0. The parallels beyond that are +2, +3, ... (if above), or -2, -3, ... (if below).
   If referring to an "Andrews" fork, it would be, for example, "AN+1.0" (UML). If referring to a derived fork like Modified-Schiff, I would call it "MS+1.0" (UML of the Mod.Schiff). A half-line, such as a line between the +0 and +1 line is simply +0.5. (similar for 3rd-lines, 4th-lines, etc.).
2. Chartwarp drew his big yellow fork using 4, 6, 7a.
   1. I observe this is a Low-Low-High fork, which is atypical of "Andrews" drawn PF's. At times, the LLH, or HHL PF's are interesting, but I'm not aware how best to take advantage of them.
   2. Pivot 7a is not the highest High, so it's not really a true "LLH" in that sense. (4,6,7 would be). You could only decide your fork is resonant/relevant after observing the touches at 8 and 10a.

   
   

3. Chartwarp drew a small blue fork using 3 small pivots near 8a. I didn't show it due to clutter, but it is interesting that the lower parallels resonate.
4. Given this chart as given (ignoring earlier pivots), I would draw the black Andrews using 1,6,7.
   1. There is a black AN+1.0 (aka UML, or Upper Median Line) potential entry at 7b, which is a double-top as it touches, so risk could be low.
   2. As it reaches the black AN+0 (ML, or MedianLine) small reaction, but it does break through.
   3. Having broken through, consider the blue 3,6,7 pitchfork (or the nearly equivalent 5,6,7). The fact that a simple LT from 3-to-5 is nearly the same as the blue ML suggests it is resonating and could bounce when it gets to 8, which does in fact happen.

   
   

5. Price goes up to 9. This is just shy of the black AN+1.0 UML. However, now the green 4,5,6 might be considered, along with a not-shown 6,7,8 which would be justified to draw, but is not well resonating. Perhaps the 9 forms as if splitting-the-difference between the black and green targets. But it is just shy of the black AN+1 which suggests a strong move downward, which it does on its way to 10.
6. The purple 8,9,10 is drawn. Notice the near approach to the purple AN+0 ML at 11.
   1. For fun, I drew dashed-purple forks using 8,9,10a, and another with 8,9,10b. These provide additional targets near 11.
   2. The green 4,5,6 would be an obvious PF to draw, and there is some resonance to it, with small overshoots at 8, and 9, a touch before 10a, then the near-approach at 11.
   3. Given that 11 is shy to both green and purple ML targets, the strong move down to 12 is perhaps more likely.

   
   

7. Once at 12, draw red 6,7,12. There is a perfect red AN+0 ML touch at 13.
8. It bounces down to 14, where that yellow fork that I can't myself justify to draw, but Chartwarp did.
   It is, however, just above and shy of the black AN+1 major target line, a sign of strength (?? Yes).
9. It rises to 15, which is the red AN+0.5 (half-line), for a bounce almost down to green AN+0, then back up for another touch, where it is hanging out right now. (I also observe the same red AN+0.5 line resonated at 9, but the red wasn't drawn until after 12. This is intra-fork resonance that was there, and perhaps even helped to justify the pivot forming at 12 (a technique known as "Hunt for C", where C is the 3rd point of the PF).

P.S.

1. A LLH pitchfork drawn using 2,6,7 is very interesting. It shows evidence of intra-fork resonance (before 7) and then quite a bit afterwards, including very near touches (just shy) at 11 (at the +1 line), then a slight overshoot at 12 (at the -1 line).
2. I tried another LLH fork using 4,6,7 but it was not resonating.

Some tips on median lines / pitchforks:

1. Only draw them from major pivots.
2. Ask yourself what the job/purpose of the tool is before you decide to draw it.
3. Ask yourself whether the market’s reality matches what you expected to happen.
4. A pitchfork provides a slope (frequency) and the width of the swing, which can be used to project future fluctuations.

One of the biggest frauds on the internet. He became a millionaire trading a demo account and sold courses. Claims his algorithm runs the market. No one should promote that fraudster.

In my humble opinion Andrews Median Line becomes more effective when you understand his views on 5 pivot points. The 0-3, 0-4, Action/Reaction Line, Multi-Pivot Lines, and Mini-Median Line become more meaningful.
