Today’s trade: by analyzing the past before the start line and observing how Tenkan and Kijun behaved previously in the zone and range of interest, I knew that the price would pull back and, in other words, make new highs. This is because there was no potential for a trend change.

If you’ve understood what I explained, you can clearly see why the price didn’t change direction.
Basically, by marking the core of Ichimoku, checking how the numbers hit that zone, and looking at the accumulation and behavior of Tenkan and Kijun, I pointed out two main things: when a trend changes and when it continues.

Some people have commented on Chikou Span, but in my opinion the core concept of Ichimoku has not been properly understood.
In Ichimoku, we are analyzing the past, the present, and the future at the same time.
To add one more point to what was discussed earlier, let’s examine this together — not in every situation.
So where does Chikou actually have value within our structure and analysis?
When price exits the Emma zone that I explained before, we look 26 candles back.
If Tenkan and Chikou have crossed at that point, we can assign a higher probability to the continuation of the newly formed trend.

If you also pay attention to the behavior of Tenkan, Kijun, and the other components, you will notice that in most cases, the Tenkan–Chikou cross occurs simultaneously with price exiting the Emma zone.
This can also serve as a confirmation for trend continuation, although it is not a strong confirmation
If you wait for Chikou, you may miss part of the move, and the risk-to-reward ratio may no longer be reasonable.
Of course, this is my personal view, and others may have better insights on this matter.

I’m glad you found the material helpful. At first it definitely seems hard, but with practice and just keeping an eye on it, I think Ichimoku’s components really start to feel simple.
The tool itself isn’t anything fancy. If you were asking about what it does: it just lets you mark vertical lines before & after the start line. It’s not directly tied to Ichimoku—it’s just to speed up finding candles. Using a ruler like in post 190 can be slow & tricky, but with this, you can quickly mark ranges & analyze faster.
That’s basically what it’s for. I’ll also explain more on how to use it:

We need to wait a bit regarding the previous topic—it was very important, and from some private messages I received, I realized it wasn’t fully understood.
I think imagining & visualizing it can be a bit tricky. You need to picture it in your mind, then it will become much clearer.
Everything is about taking the average—if one element gets ahead of another, it’s a sign of balance or imbalance.
I should reload a very important PDF. This PDF is extremely, extremely important.
I’ll be sharing more examples from previous topics soon. I hope they help clarify the point I mentioned. You need to examine the past in the present moment, . Hosoda had several bases for his calculations… but the material I’ll be sharing relies on just one—the close relative to the Tenkan.

One important point that didn’t get enough attention is the close around the Tenkan and its previous 9-bar.
My main goal is to enter trades at the start of a move, where the risk-to-reward is much better( Emma zones on the M5 are extremely profitable but still misunderstood). Still, trading based on theTenkan & the break of its previous 9-bar range can also be very effective.
Below are more practical & usable examples.

Core rules that must always be respected:

  1. The break of the previous 9-bar Tenkan range must happen with at least 50% candle body. Otherwise, the break is invalid.
  2. The setup is evaluated exactly at the moment the 9-bar range is broken.
  3. During those 9 bars, price, Tenkan, Kijun must all be on the same side of the Kumo (either all above or all below).
  4. At a valid break, the previous 26 bars must be checked to confirm whether Chikou Span has crossed price & changed direction.
    The Chikou–price cross may occur with 1 to 3 candles delay, but anything beyond that is not acceptable.
  5. Kijun behavior & positioning must be analyzed.

(This final part is left to the trader.)

In most cases, when price closes beyond the Tenkan 9-bar base range, the Chikou Span also crosses price.
And when price moves through the Emma Zone I explained earlier, it usually happens at the same time as the Chikou Span crossing the Tenkan....and ....
Isn’t that interesting?!!!
These are not things you’ll find written anywhere. Everything comes from my own observation, analysis, research.
All I can say is: observe, study, and visualize the Ichimoku.

Ichimoku is very interesting and it is a perfect indicator and everything comes back to the average and averaging is the foundation of financial markets but it needs to be understood with your help we will definitely reach it.

All the points have been explained, only Kijun-sen remains (post228) I don’t like to be the only one providing data. It’s better for everyone to do their own analysis as well.
Believe me, answers coming only from me will not lead to a full understanding of Ichimoku. The right approach is to raise a topic, point out some key aspects, then leave the process of figuring it out to you. I will definitely post trading from the Tenkan & its previous 9-period range again. It might be helpful

Yes, it truly is a very valuable indicator—of course, only if it is properly understood.
The causes of movements? Like what exactly?
Hasoda believed that the future is merely a rewritten version of the past, that the market is constantly repeating itself—not in terms of price, but in terms of behavior.
In Ichimoku, balances are continuously repeating. That is the correct way to describe it.
Balance means a point the market returns to when it needs to breathe, or a point from which it accelerates when it wants to gain momentum.
Emma zone is exactly that point—the knot & focal area that many were unaware of.
The center & core of Ichimoku lie in our baseline.

A friend asked about the Tenkan-Kijun cross & what it means.
First, I’d appreciate it if questions were asked in the topic thread so everyone can see them, if other friends have questions, they can be answered as well.

It was a good question, it’s clear that it’s being thought about carefully.
The Tenkan-Kijun cross means that the averages of the Tenkan and Kijun periods are either zero or very, very close to each other at the moment of the cross.
Tenkan=Kijun
This means the value & average of the 9 period (Tenkan) is stronger & more important than the 26 period (Kijun). Our shorter period has managed to dominate & overtake the longer one.
That’s the literal meaning.
’ll show it in the diagram with two rectangles.
The blue rectangle represents the 26 period range, the red represents the 9 period range.
I’ve shown this at two points: one at the cross, where the averages of the two periods are very close to zero, the other at the start of the trend, where the distance between the averages is also indicated.
