...price broke upside of that 9-10pip range it had been in from the CDL - 3350 for 1hr 10mins, - ie more upside p/back off the CDL.

1hr below

...could see some big intraday swings today later re the Uk Boe/Mpc stuff then U.s Cpi data? Chart below shows the dly t/f current situation. A downside b/o of the 2nd highest (of 3 consecutively) HL (3287 - LWL,) would put a dent in the now general uptrend on that t/f. Anything can happen though, - could all be upside, or indeed mixed.

GBP main event

I got three guesses............max.

Guessing #1:
GBP Strengthens: Occurs if UK CPI isn't too hot and the BoE delivers a "measured," less-dovish-than-feared cut. GBP/USD could grind higher.

Guessing #2:
USD Rebounds: Triggered if the BoE sounds overtly dovish or if US data shifts rate expectations back to "higher for longer." GBP/USD would pull back.

Guessing #3:
Whipsaw/Range-Bound: High volatility with sharp spikes in both directions as markets react to each data point, likely keeping GBP/USD between key technical levels.

pick you choice and try some luck.......

Ohh BTW ;;Ive forgotten Technical Levels (Key Zones)
Resistance: ~1.3400 (level where rallies have previously stalled).
Support: ~1.3300, with stronger support around 1.3280 - 1.3300.

Lol. Absolutely, it's a sensible position to take. When I was trading @ a bank we used to say (before a big scheduled event risk like these upcoming) '...what time does amateur hour start?...' because that's what you get on the retail front, all the newbies etc jumping in hoping to make a quick buck! The retail brokers love it, but less so when there is a strong basically uni-directional move on the reaction. Even then they often try to fake as many as possible out by often spiking it around for a few mins after a release/event, because as we know - they are generally on the other side of the trades. Anyways, I'm hoping for the Big V and the Big M to happen, ie Volatility and Momentum to result, on any release/event.

and not forgetting......
A cut (4.0% to 3.75%) is widely expected.
The real driver will be the tone, guidance, and vote split.

A dovish cut opens door for more easing, hurting GBP.
A "measured" cut with a close vote could support GBP.

price @ the CDH met some sellers in the 4hr part of the prev 1hr/4hr sw hi zone = pot res that extends up to 3406/07, ie y/day's upside p/back hi - this a 1st test of a pot 1hr/4hr sbr zone

...nice easy to trade reaction to that Boe/Mpc from a lower t/f perspective @ least. Upside follow-thru on the initial 1min, 5min, 15min, 30min, and now 1hr bullish/engulf candle closes after that data. Round 2 coming up on the 1/2hr re U.s Cpi etc. Gonna hang around for that too.

now there will be more rate cuts so the dollar gona be more limp

a monthly close over 3444 ill add more FXB into my longterm retirement account and and buy more GU on a weekly close over 3438
