all tools used are fib tools found in all terminals but with GANN %'s

fib ret for price 1/8's
timezone for time 1/8's
cycle line for month start/end
2 channels for up/down to form GANN Grid

sadly to say, GANN tools in MT4 do not anchor when changing TF's, that's why I replaced them with fib tools to have accurate anchor points in all TF's.

The USDJPY price action on the H4 time frame is sideways at the 155.810 intra-day horizontal resistance. Technically, there’s little room for directional price action.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.

Lots of high impact news this week for US and JPY. What's everyone's approach this week? I find leading up to these news events that it ranges or whipsaws around. That's the kind of market where my strategy fails. Still haven't determined how best to navigate these markets or detect them during rather than after the fact. Any advice?

Lots of times the market will trend before a news event, and I will usually get in on the action, but plan to be out before the news. Sometimes it does nothing, but range in a tight consolidation, and/or have low volume, in which I do nothing, but look for another trending pair not affected by the news. I usually avoid trading after the news event until things have calmed down, and returned to normal. Trade small amounts around the news, don't try to get rich. Always protect your capital, even if that means sitting out.

In my view, the path of least resistance is still down.

If it could close above 155.300 in the next few hours, it would have a chance to break out of the bearish channel. Otherwise, there are a few immediate FIB levels downards as potential short targets/rebounce levels.
