man then you just need to get better at your decretionary approach and get better at that why you want to change you already working and good mentality with some shity stratagy that doesn't give you conviction and isn't used by billions or banks using some robots....
I think the best thing will be that you buy a funded account and make a new thread where you share your trading ideas and we give you some ideas and you can try to replicate our styles and incooperate them into your style and just get better at that where you are already better then 90% of lossing traders.......you just need some refinement in that area it can either be risk managment or some psychology or some tweaking in your stratagy .

Best Loser Wins - Tom Hougaard

And yes, I agree with what you say about goals and that you need a trading approach that works under all market conditions and, above all, can deliver certain results during the time when you need them (most important for me right now), which is exactly what I'm trying to find.

Noisy , add one more book to that list , its short , 3 Chapters and written by a Guy most folks do not know anything about. I have researched the Author in as far as anything available on the NET is concerned. He is not a prolific writer , but the data presented has real depth. The Author is Stanley Davies , and the series is called The Relevance of Time / The Relevance of Time / Time and Price Strategy. I found it on Google Play books , but it may be available from other sources. Some of it is obvious , some of it is pretty darned good. Changed my view on Trading for a Living completely.

is it for the suckers or the best traders ??

the answer is down below

the testing was done on a random pair that i have never traded before and i think i will need to trade now

the HOLY SECRET STRATAGY DIDN't lost a single time
yah there are 3 losing trades but thoes were because of my stupid stop loss placement ( but martingle was used and all the money was made back )

BUT the fact i know that no one gona go and test it them selves and will probably say that this is just luck then i don't really care and i just did it for my conviction that waht i am trading works or no

so just some details guys
its just basic support and ressistence with orderblock or a box up or anyting that you wana call it
and the account started from 10k and now its up 12% in the backtest

here guys i speak facts i don't say yah you could do that and that and that and shit like that i give you results and i think no one could give you results that you are confortable with until you go ahead and backtest yourself

and yah the 1:1 or 1:2 FIXED RISK TO REWARD WAS USED otherwise the results would have been far better

Exactly this. Trading is more about waiting rather than actually trading. I watch the market & news for hours and hours in hopes of catching a market moving news & trading that kneejerk movements. Despite watching it for hours i get to trade just a couple of times every week

Its like fishing, you wait for hours but then you gotta act quick when the fish gets hooked

You are using demo accounts so you can't lose real money, and therefore nor can you make real money. Saying that you are making a profit is just not true.

Yes, that's correct. The accounts I linked here are simulated. They all trade the same system, which I've been testing since the beginning of August, and primarily serve as a tool for performance tracking and to see if it's something I might also run on a live account.

I have several live accounts with different brokers, but I haven't traded on them for a while because I lack a clear strategy.

As for losing real money, I know what that's like. I opened my first trading account when I was 18 and turned 40 in May. During that time, I've certainly lost close to a six-figure sum as tuition fees with various brokers.

I just read about the outage at one of the CME data centers in Chicago. Allegedly due to a cooling problem. Isn't it winter in Chicago? And don't they have multiple redundancies and failovers for such critical infrastructure? Unbelievable. That sounds fishy.

Anyway, that probably explains why my positions weren't closed yesterday and are still open. If you don't wipe out your account with your bad trading, then a "glitch" will do it for you, haha. One more reason, I think, not to keep too much of your own money in any trading account.

Hopefully this doesn't affect anyone here and everything turns out alright.

Thanks, somehow, I missed this, reading thread occasionally but not really following word for word. I agree with you, he wants stress free trading and people are suggesting 5-minutes charts, Renko charts, and much more rubbish that he should have already eliminated from considerations.

I am currently going over the posts, again, not word for word, virtually everything in trading has been discussed so far and I'm halfway.

My thread would be called, "Trading for a hobby" because I don't need the money.

The CME was up and running by 9 AM EST yesterday. The US stock exchanges closed early yesterday at 1 PM, and bonds closed at 2 pm, as they do every Friday after Thanksgiving in the US.

Hi Nordling, I agree that screen time is helpful in developing the strategy, and can be reduced once going into execution phase and keep trading going.

What he says is correct if he means that it's probably not necessary to stare at a screen all day, and it's not particularly sustainable if you try to run a business/career doing it. However, I understand that this is something many people associate with the image of a trader—preferably with lots of screens and flashing alerts that keep you on your toes all day long. Presumably mostly young people or pensioners who have secure finances and do this as a kind of hobby because they enjoy it.

If you enjoy it and make money from it, keep doing it. For me, though, it's definitely not an option.

The system I've been running for 70 days has achieved a +17% return, and I haven't had to look at a chart for a second. So it seems it's possible without doing so.

The myth hold hard, that a trader must spent massive amount of time watching charts to become profitable.

If some one reach say after all costs 10 percent a year and another one can do a double if initial capital a year.

That are only one side of the truth.
Say trader one have initial 200.000 euro and trader two have start with 5.000. At years end trader one is by 220.000 and trader two holds 10.000.

Trader one earned 15.000 more with often less position in market. Someone who want double in one year his account must more force trades.

For a living of trading you must invest much. You must calculate the running costs of your life, the costs the trading is on the way.

A real scenario is someone who can effort to trade for a living can go over to trade full-time, for the rest it keep a dream. But this will not be heared by many.

I just don't see the connection between increasing a winning position and more screen time, nor how this is supposed to help me achieve a consistent minimum income from trading, sustainably, month after month.

My goal isn't to make individual large bets using high leverage or spend all day analyzing/monitoring dozens of markets and charts in the hope of a potential big profit, but rather to keep my risk and time investment as low as possible while consistently achieving a certain minimum return.
