Which in some contexts is called Fair Value Gap, which has been dismissed by the thread starter. Dismissed for being subjective, while it's actually one way of making Impulse-Correction-Impulse objective.

He seems to dismiss everything....... without even looking at charts just now we have 3 charts with this structure, gbp/usd, eur/usd and Oil. all easy easy setups imo

Indeed he does, but they are all over the place. Here the reversal from the yesterday's bottom in NQ on an 1m chart.

First, after 6.10pm CET, two Impulse-Correction-Impulse patterns in the form of impulse candles followed by Inverted Hammer candles.

Or, if one prefers the comfort of a larger scale pattern, at 6.50pm an Inverted Hammer off of a bona fide Fair Value Gap.

Or, if FVGs are dismissed the larger geometric Impulse-Correction-Impulse pattern indicated by the yellow lines, which one could enter on break of EMA50.

After that there was a 500+ point move up. Both likely level of bottom and move up were anticipated by FF member montygoldy.

So three types of Impulse-Correction-Impulse patterns verifying a trade idea posted publicly here on FF, with more than 10KUSD profit per contract if followed through to the end.

Go look at those 3 charts and tell me what you see. Then plan how you will trade the next impulse and more importantly your stop if its wrong

Since starting this thread, you've rejected every idea and thought offered to you. I think this is because you have other motives. I doubt you have a trading account. It's not enough because these discussions about success in trading isn't your objective. You want, and expect, something else. You just haven't revealed it yet.

This past week, I talked about the trades I made that delivered to me twice the income you need each month to cover your expenses. Your response: too much work and doesn't fit your lifestyle. But on the flip side: your life is terrible, you have few prospects, you have stress and sadness in your life, and you think about putting a gun to your head.

People have honestly tried to help you, and your response has been to dismiss them and, weakly rationalize this continuation of rejecting them while embracing your loser status.

u know when u watch charts to much u start to see patterns everywhere - im listening to some music on youtube and looked at the video time and spotted something... a head and shoulders... it went back up retested the neckline then carried on down

Fair Value Gaps are exactly that. Whether an FVG strategy should be automated or not could be debated. Here's the first paragraph of the conclusion section of attached research report on the topic:

"Automating a Fair Value Gap day trading strategy represents a legitimate but non-trivial undertaking. The core concept has merit: identifying price gaps left behind by rapid market moves, then profiting as price returns to fill those gaps. However, transforming this concept into a profitable automated system requires architectural sophistication, rigorous validation, robust risk management, and realistic expectations about inevitable drawdowns and slippage."

Something to get you started. Now prove yourself competent of something other than complaining.

The last trade shows a sharp rejection from the recent high around 103,352 USD, as the price pulled back to 103,237 USD. This indicates possible short-term selling pressure after a strong upward move.
