The youtuber Trade Pro made a video and short backtest on it called 'Crazy Results Best Ichimoku Cloud Trading Strategy Proven 100 Trades'.

He used 1h candles so a bit different but otherwise I used all the rules he specified.

A friend had asked about not understanding where the periods are. Friends, if you just look at the behavior & formation of Ichimoku in the market, you'll notice that the Spans are shifted 26 time periods forward from wherever you examine them.
When I mentioned the number 17, my intention was to find the center of the Span & Ichimoku
The number 17 itself is also a Span that is shifted 26 periods forward. I tried to illustrate this simply in the chart.
I'm sharing the link to the measuring tool I use – it can really help you a lot.

In Topic #128, I mentioned the importance of the number 17, we advanced through some of the divisions together. The division we performed was on Senkou Span A, we must also draw a line on Senkou Span B over the same range.
This area is a very important decision-making zone for us, which I call the "Emma Zone"... because I discovered it myself...LOL

Let's try to derive this area using an indicator I wrote myself, which I'm sending you, by slightly multiplying the numbers. This can immensely help you better understand the relationships between the components, and I highly recommend experimenting extensively with the indicator I'm sending. It will expand your understanding of Ichimoku.What does Span A in range 17 mean? It means the average of (9 and 26) at the candle 9 bars before the start line.
Then what about Span B in range 17? It means the average of 52 at the candle 9 bars before the start line.

But you could say the issue is the difference between 17 and 17.5, which causes such variations in Span A.

After explaining all these parameters, I’ll now describe what the “Emma zone” is used for.
To put it simply (since the concept comes from topic 125-127. for those who want a deeper understanding, I recommend reflecting on it): it’s about balance & imbalance.
We can say a phase shift occurs — starting from the base candle (Tenkan) — only when balance is established. Balance in the past, in the future, in the present. Sounds complicated, right?
Regarding the range 17 & the Emma zone, here’s the simple version:
If both candles 9 & 26 are within this zone & have made contact, it means the price gap has been filled, the average price has increased or decreased, and a phase shift can be expected.
There are a few key principles behind this.
Apart from candles 9 & 26, there’s another range that’s extremely important — I’ve mentioned it before.
If that range also makes contact, even when candles 9 & 26 don’t touch, a phase shift can still be expected.
I leave it up to the readers to figure out that number themselves.

Another point: the timing of the price reaching the Emma zone after recognizing a phase shift is important.
If it takes too long, the price may be expected to retrace.

So, the time it takes for a candle to reach the Emma zone — from its exit from Kijun — is significant. Keep this in mind in your analysis.
Now, for those who want to practice, in addition to the points mentioned, there are **two more things** they need to focus on:
1. The **time it takes to reach the Emma zone**.
2. The **unnamed number** — its touch of the Emma zone is **much more important than 9 & 26**

I’ll share two more principles: even if candles 9 & 26 make contact, if these are followed in lower timeframes, you can still capture good profits.
1- When the price exits the Kumo cloud, both the candle & Kijun & Tenkan must be outside the cloud up to 9 candles before.
2- The Span of the Emma zone should be in the direction of the trend. If it hasn’t changed yet, a reverse can be expected before the market shifts. The correct order is Tenkan, Kijun, Span A, and Span B.
Friends, when we use Tenkan as the reference, if the 9 & 26 ranges haven’t touched, it’s better to wait for the market to make higher highs or lower lows before checking again.
The market can form a double top or double bottom, changing the direction, but the time gap between the two reference candles must be respected.
At the start, if no signal or contact appears, be patient. Watch and understand the principles, and let the correct time window form.
We wait for higher or lower moves because Ichimoku averages highs and lows — if conditions aren’t met on our candle, the relevant time frame needs to fully form first.
