I must say I disagree with you. Indicators aren't for making us feel good. There's a philosophy embedded in every tool – otherwise, their creators would have to be mad to develop them.
Yes, here the chart formed regular highs & lows, and you easily drew lines. But do you draw lines with the same confidence in areas where the chart is messy?!
Ichimoku takes its data from price itself – it's not separate from it.
Can you explain why the price rose at the specific area I marked on the chart? Yes, if it had fallen, it would have formed a high!!! With Ichimoku, I can tell you why it went up! What can you tell me, in terms of timing, about where the chart will reverse?!

In the previous wave that had broken its own low, why did it reverse upward & break the high? Can you explain why this happened? I can tell you the reason using Ichimoku.
Every perspective & trading method is valuable. I started this topic to share the ideas & concepts I've understood, not to prove anything or...

Philosophy vs reality.
Price moves up and down because people willing to pay up to get into the trade.
Or are desperate to get out - take me out of the trading I don't care what price, I can't take this pain anymore.

Why I asked a poll ? Only few use Ichimoku and even fewer people understand what it is.
And some maybe smart and change standard settings by - 1...-5 make to give earlier signal and
front run standard setting Ichimoku users. Most see horizontal levels. More people see same thing more action there will be and bigger move possible.
Yes sometimes there will be trap and level fails ( yellow ) and trapped traders need to get out somewhere.

Can you explain me what your point actually is?

You make money trading Price Action (and volume or whatever)

Raha makes money trading Ichimoku.

I dont understand why you feel the need to force your opinion or the way to trade on other people?

I honestly don't understand why you're starting a pointless argument. everyone has their own analytical tools. just bc few people use Ichimoku doesn’t mean it’s bad. In my trade examples, I used the default Ichimoku settings & was discussing the importance of 17 — why sometimes 17 becomes a target, why sometimes it becomes an entry point for me, why if it breaks, it can break several levels beyond it.
What’s the point of arguing about what’s good or bad? I present my own view of the market, whether it’s right or wrong. I’m sure you haven’t read any of the posts in this topic... you’ve just started an illogical argument. I marked a line and a candle on the chart & explained why it went up... Everyone understands the importance of price. No tool works outside of price. The fact that you trade without tools is also respectable, but that doesn't mean my trading and work are unimportant. the philosophy & reality you spoke about work for me — I earn an income from it, I am grateful to God. Nothing else matters anymore...

I've never heard of ichimoku and I'd never look at anything but s/r and a couple of short ma's for low time frame charts. That said if someone wants to use Fortune tellers, horoscopes, astrology, Oriental cookies with lottery numbers, the Farmer's almanac or all of them combined, to each, his or her own and its really not anyone else's call. That said, the first thing I thought of reading through this STRING and the primary aggressor being guess who I will always come to the defense of the other side. EVERYBODY WANTS TO LOOK GOOD AND NOBODY WANTS TO LOOK BAD. STILL, SOME PEOPLE HAVE A NEED TO MINIMALIZE OTHERS IN ORDER TO ELEVATE AND SELF ADORN THEMSELVES WRAPPED IN SUPERIORITY. Maybe just stick to what you do and let others alone to do the same because what really shows through is your insecurity and needs to be noticed.

To come into an indicator based system thread, marked ichimoku, to pick faults with indicators and then complain to a politely worded response, is at best incredibly rude or incredibly moronic.

But still, under stress you have passed the test, where I would have used, a big boot.

These are uninteresting debates. Like the one about chartist trading versus dynamic trading. Or ICT, which is far from unanimous. We completely don't care. I like Ichimoku, and RaHaGOD explains it very well.

I’m not polite ... I just don’t see any reason to argue or fight. I’d rather politely ignore it
I’m always open to real discussions or criticism about what I say, bc good conversations help us understand things better & grow. But if a discussion starts with attitude or has nothing to do with the actual topic, I’d rather not continue it...
