I continue to work on my custom TradingView TMS indicator, and this weekend I added some filters to enhance/validate the signals, keeping faithful to the original approach to this system - evolution, not revolution.

Now the indicator takes in consideration the following settings to validate the TDI signal:

  1. TMS Indicators: TDI + Stochastic parameters
  2. Signal Rules: Angle filter, early trend filter
  3. Smart Filters: Stoch confirmation, ADX, HTF, Sessions, Score System, Reversal Mode
  4. Trade Settings: TP, SL
  5. ML Settings: Evaluation minutes, ML threshold


I have the following settings on:

Minimum Angle Filter: 70º (adjustable, default 45º, the higher the angle, the stronger the momentum of the move has to be)
Early Trend Filter: On (signals only allowed if TDI crosses 1st or 2nd candle)
Stoch confirmation: Off
ADX minimum: 20 (filters ranging market fake signals)
HTF aligned: Off (only shows signals if aligned with the 4H TF)
Sessions Filter: On (London and New York signals only)
Score System: On (uses a set of rules to score a TDI signal. If the score is above a preset value shows the signal)
Reversal Mode: On (after a streak of 3 candles, even if the ADX is < 20 allows the signal to show if the other rules of the score system are > 50)

Trade settings (TP and SL) and ML settings are for integration with python code and don't influence visually anything in the indicator.

These are the results for today: ignored signals in the Asian session and only validated 2x London/New York signals:

You should be checking for these price action with normal candlesticks or bar chart,
then check the Stoch (8,3,3) and RSI(13) of the TDI.

TOP Five(5) Price Action post #150,885

1) PCRF 3bars/candles reversal
2) Swing High /Swing Low seen with five(5) bars / candles
3) Engulfing bars/candles BUEB/BEEB
4) Engulfing Outside bars/candles BUEOB/ BEEOB
5) Double Bars Low with Higher Close and Double Bars High with Lower Close DBLHC & DBHLC

These Five(5) price action will be enough for many winners.

WE all read from the OP' posts that he would risk 15% to 30% of his $10,000 deposit every time he trade...
If you risk that much on one trade, then you know why he has his conservative exit mentioned in his post #557.

I prefer to risk only $500 per trade and use multiple entries as the trade progresses and build up my positions in baskets.

Best practice, keep this simple.

1) Always use an Initial Stop Loss for every trade. This initial stop loss is important for you risk control


2) Use Position Sizing for all trades.


3) Maintain a Risk to Reward Ratio throughout. Manage your trade exits according to the risk R and to "Let Profits Run" in the direction of the Weekly and Daily trends.

actually the 5-Method go way back to mid-1980s when I started trading.

long before the TDI was created in 2005.
