Thanks for the contribution.
I breafly looked into this tool and TBH never managed to make it work.
They say its useful for trend but by the time it shows the trend than you are late to the parti.
Curious to know how profitably you are using it.

To give an example of neutral crosses: the color of the histogram that comes after does not necessarily mean a trend change or continuation. I said other parameters are also important. Here, we had a neutral cross on the H1, which I then examined on the M5. Many times, if we wait for the color after the cross, the move is already over. I will explain more later... I just wanted to say don’t oversimplify the game. A color change alone is not enough.(The behavior of Tenkan and Kijun is what matters.) For now, I want to categorize. You should also study the crosses yourself and you will realize where and what type of cross is more important.

To explain neutral crossovers more comprehensively without missing anything: It means wait for the price to reach a support or resistance area, or if no such zone exists, wait until it forms. Then, analyze the behavior of Tenkan and Kijun and trade in the direction of the trend. But I can say that in 90% of cases, neutral crossovers actually represent the market pausing and catching its breath before continuing the trend.

I will explain more later about support and resistance zones. I’m also preparing images about price in Ichimoku and will put them in one place. I think this will reduce mistakes. Someone messaged me privately asking if it’s really that easy to trade based on colors?! No, my dear friend. First, this is an educational environment, not a signal service, and the responsibility is yours. What matters is the behavior of Tenkan and Kijun, the angle and slope of Kijun, and the support and resistance zones before and after. A neutral cross tells you to wait... That’s it, or I continue my path and then change course after a zone. For now, I’m giving the headlines so those interested can study the crosses on their own charts. There is no secret.

Just tuning in to say congratz on your new Thread and great to have some Ichimoku on Forexfactory again.
The history of Ichimoku and why the default Periods arent just a random number, but actually are carefully chosen is super interesting.
I can only recommend to look up the meaning behind those Settings for those that consider trading Ichimoku!

Another piece of advice for others that may look at those more fancy Ichimoku Indicators/Scripts... dont use them.
99,99% of those are wrong.

Yes, all the sources are very dry—they just parrot the same things and move on. There’s very little genuine understanding of Ichimoku’s parameters. Few people truly grasp it correctly. Someone just told me to trade based on histogram colors—is that okay?! I really don’t know how to respond... I don’t mean to upset anyone. I used to think the same way in the past—trading based on colors, arrows, etc. But without understanding the tools we use, they will only lead to losses. If you have knowledge, please share it with us so that a group with a correct understanding of Ichimoku can be formed. This way, we cannot properly discuss the concept of time in Ichimoku. I am genuinely worried.

I use histograms because I have weak eyesight. Sometimes it’s hard for me to see the shape of, for example, the Kijun clearly, and I have to constantly zoom in. The colors also bother me. Tools are not just for buying and selling. pay attention to the behavior of Ichimoku parameters, not just the colors
For now, that’s enough for today. Tomorrow, I’ll try to explain topics related to price and support/resistance areas in Ichimoku, and if anything remains from the discussion on crossovers, I’ll complete it.

You are doing an excellent job. Over time, things will become clearer for traders with Ichimoku. I would recommend a few clarifications that would help:

1- Most Ichimoku indicators do not include histograms. You should explain whether they are necessary and if you find them essential. I personally do not use them.
2- In one of your posts, you mentioned that you moved to the M5 chart to analyze an H1 neutral zone. What did you see when you changed to M5? Is it necessary to change the time frame or just wait until the neutral zone works itself out in H1?
3- As you introduce concepts, a step by step process would be very helpful to make things clearer.
For example:

1- Determine trend in higher time frame chart like H4.
2- In H1 chart wait for cross of Tenkan and Kinjun in the direction of the trend.
3- Wait for Kinjun to change shape in the direction of the cross.
4- Enter trade.
etc. etc. etc.

This is just an example of how to lay out a step by step process. It is not an actual process to follow.

For now she is explaining the behavior and the indicators in Ichimoku. It is not a trading recipi. That might come later. At first the deep understanding is important.

I think she is doing a good job at explaining the way she does.

At first, I said it's much better to see the Ichimoku parameters directly on the chart, and if you like, you can use the histogram. The histogram is not essential; it just shows the Ichimoku in color format. I have weak eyesight, so using the histogram is easier for me. Watching the behavior of Kijun on the chart is very, very important, and color alone does not show it. At the beginning, look at the parameters themselves on the chart. I have already seen Kijun enough myself before.
I only analyze Ichimoku on the 1H. I mentioned this in another topic before, because the 1H (24 hours) is closer to the Kijun parameter and is more accurate compared to other timeframes. It’s not necessarily required to look for setups on lower timeframes. When a neutral cross happens, I said that most of the time it means the trend will continue.
You can find Ichimoku support and resistance zones and set trades there, but I look for setups on the 5M in those zones to keep my stop loss smaller. This depends on your risk tolerance and money management. Sometimes I don’t want to wait for the trade to reverse from the zone; I prefer to go to a smaller timeframe and find a more precise setup. But for some people, that is not very important, which is a matter of choice.
Overall, the main timeframe is 1H. The behavior of Kijun and Tenkan should also be checked on this timeframe. And if you go to a lower timeframe for setups, don’t forget the bigger timeframe.

Yes, I wanted to add that tooRight now, understanding why the Kijun 26 is important is very, very crucial. The reason behind it is truly significant.

Many times, I don’t want the market to retrace much into my setup. Now, after a neutral cross, the price has come several times to a resistance area that is clearer on the 5M. Sometimes I get bored or have more important tasks, so I set my trade at that zone and leave. But other times, when I’m at the chart, I wait to catch a cleaner, clearer trend. It depends on my mood and feeling on that day The important thing is the zone where the market cannot easily pass once it reaches it. I’m talking about zones that are clearly defined, but the zones in Ichimoku are different from those in other tools or pivots, and so on.

I agree. Concepts first to lay out the foundation are essential.

The reason I mentioned the step by step process is because among other things, I am a pilot, so I place extreme importance on itemized checklists. The human brain is most effective when focusing on one item at a time in a succession of items. The checklist process instills good habits.

Years ago, when I created the Extreme TMA thread, I realized that traders may skip a critical step which renders all successive steps null and void. In fact, I believe the biggest problem with most traders is the lack of discipline necessary to follow a step by step process.

Actually, thank you. I’ve never taught anyone before, and the topics are scattered, which I am aware of myself. Because I’m a perfectionist, the text has to be organized for me to understand it. Honestly, this is bothering me. I thought I’d gradually share everything I know and then present it all in a proper format that can be useful. If I didn’t start, I would never have done this. Sometimes, no matter how imperfect the start is, starting itself is good. If there is anything else, please let me know so the content can be presented well. My goal for this thread is to help those who cannot afford to pay to learn Forex but truly want to grow. Many of them get lost in the vast and confusing world of online content. I'm good at documenting and translating things to a readable educational format.. i can document all that's sitting in ur head prior you dump them with examples in here.. ill take my time and if required ask questions and help you with it. I am of the opinion good material should be documented.. what say.
