...I came up with an interesting idea today that others here may also be interested in. Hi David, I like what you have done here, as a matter of interest did you do that in TC 2000??? I remember you can code however I never learnt that skill, albeit I still have the program, will you allow others to use the watchlist, or must we create our own because it certainly looks good and would like to have it I may have to request a few lessons on coding Wordens TC2000, anyway mate nice to touch base again, hope the girlfriend has
Several things first...
1. I am not proficient at writing code in TC2000, but I can usually do it just well enough to get by sometimes.
2. I am not able to change the signals from being %K to %D which is the one I much prefer (they don't offer me that option). Meaning the signals are not exactly the way I want them to be.
Here's the code and settings.
The U.S. stock market was closed yesterday so today is the first time that I am seeing the new watchlist LIVE.
I found today that I am still getting too many signals for stocks so I changed the code from 70 to 80. But, it's because I have over 6,000 stocks that it is tracking.

A bit of a late reply, life hit me with actual recovery of my wrists - my appendix that had to be removed - and a 1 year old, that I love dearly, but it's more intense than I had anticipated being a dad, haha.

I would highly suggest that you finish reading the thread as I believe that doing so would be very helpful to you, and also answer some of your questions.
-> Just finished reading through it, will likely reread a few more times. Lots of new indicators as well, I'll have a run in SIM to see which one clicks the best with me, while sticking to the ones that got me to where I currently am (rsi, 2x stoch & madc (fast, slow)).
Choppy markets:
1. I now ONLY trade: Trend > Pullback > Resumption of the trend. Aka = Continuation Trades.
-> Perfect on the choppy markets, I'll stick to to trending.
2. In that you only trade 5 min. charts, I would also watch the 15 min. and the 1 hr.
-> I have expanded my 5min setup with 15min, 1hr - as you suggested. Plus the daily chart (to see the daily break or recoup), as you suggested.
3. I would day trade the SPY or the NQ, but not both. My personal preference is the SPY. Otherwise, I would trade the ES Futures or the NQ Futures.
-> Haven't expanded here yet.
Frequency of trades:
1. If what you are doing is working, I would just increase my bet size. Otherwise, I day trade the SPY every day and I tend to get about 1-4 trades each day, trading it the way that I do.
-> Learned this the hard way just a few days ago, when I got carried away by the hype of a discord to trade more. Very negative to my results, as you may guess...
I like day trading the 2 min. time frame the best, while simultaneously watching the 5 and 15 min. charts. And, most often, I only day trade the market for the first 2.5 hours (NYSE Open - 9:30 to 12:00 EST) .
-> Noted, will take it with me if I ever expand that way.

1. I don't watch the VIX and never have.
-> Ok
2. I watch: Yesterday's Close, Today's Open, the premarket high and low, the 15 min. ORB (Opening Rang Breakout) and Pivot Points.
-> Started to pay more attention to this, it's nice to get a directional hint. Especially how the daily candle moves vs previous daily candle seems nice. (Also to not get in a poor trade)
3. That's good.
-> Ok (was point on SL trailing, etc)
4. I don't "actively" watch for S&D Zones.
-> Ok
5. I am "aware" of the Daily high and low but I give them very little consideration.
-> Ok
If I could go back and start my trading journey all over, there is only one way that I would trade. I would ONLY Long Bull Flags and I would ONLY Short Bear Flags (during trends), because after all, when trading them the way I do, they are just Continuation Trades.
-> I can see your point here. Flags with normal candles are pretty much Heikin Ashi continuations, as well. For as far as I can see. But the entries may be cleaner.
BTW, a 50-60% win rate at a minimum of 1:2 R:R is fantastic!
-> Sadly took a hit on that with the recent discord-debacle. I'll work to get back to it though, sat around 52-55% with pf1.9-2
