Hi Dave,
The first two images are me trying to imitate your ADR charts. I pulled my daily range info from a forex volatility calculator set on two weeks, which showed a 122-pip range for the trading day I’m posting.
The third image is my daily view of the grid chart. It also shows the trade I took today, which ended up getting stopped out.

Update:

Still on this trade. SL almost triggered but reversed just a little above hehe. Will see how this will play out next week. Have a nice weekend guys!

Although the USDJPY price action on the H4 time frame is sideways at the 147.010 intra-day horizontal support, recent technical prints and the preceding technical impulse favour southward liquidity engineering.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.

I'm relatively new to trading and so far, I've been focused on the USD/JPY I'm trading on the 1H chart and for anyone that's been following the H1 chart can someone correct me if I'm wrong on my analysis. So far since Friday 22nd when we experience that big red candle the chart has consolidated till today and waiting for a break in the consolidation that can either create an uptrend or a downtrend. SO, with the market no going up or down it's best not to trade at the moment and wait for indicators that can show where the market is going to go.

Update on this trade:

Trade closed. TP hit at 147.95. Took few days but worth it. SL almost hit twice but reversed right above it.

Lost 21 on what I call a 23% trade yesterday
But
Won 32 on what I call my Box trade
which hit overnight
Not sure as yet what as caused the rocket to the moon
