I don't use a "system" per se anymore...with fixed concrete entry and exit rules because they all erode over time. I use trading "methods" that I create, and they often change and evolve over the course of time.

I use 5 different trading platforms (each for different reasons and each with different trading setups). I have hundreds of different templates, and the chart I just posted above is just one of them and I use it for trading stocks and ETFs only.

I'll answer the question in two ways...

I think the most important thing new traders should focus on is bull and bear flags as they are essentially Continuation Trades.

Otherwise, I think classic divergences are better to focus on as they are more basic and easier to recognize.

also, i think i know the answer to this but i still want to know your views. do you use classic divergences to close your trades when you are already in the market and you see one? if there is a continuacion trade spotted but also a divergence, is it better just to stay away?

2. If I see a Continuation Trade and a divergence at about the same time, which one would I chose to believe is more likely to be right? In a situation like that, I would either do nothing or I would take into consideration what other indicators are telling me. So for example, if I have a Continuation Trade and a divergence at the same time (which is unlikely), I would look to see which side of the RoadMap that Price is on and I would take the trade (if I took the trade) in that direction.

I haven't been trading GLD lately because it's basically only been going sideways for the last 4 months, staying within a relatively tight range.

Hello to All,

I got home early from doing a repair and couldnt wait to look at a chart to see If a setup was happening. Look what happened. I took it. Yellow Entry, Red Exit. Continuation Trades are Priceless..Thank You RH for everything that you've taught me..
