Question 3: When trading, do we wait for confluence across all three timeframes—for example, if M15 and H1 both show an uptrend, we then look for long positions on the M5 timeframe? And Do you trade on Friday?
I am also practicing trading SP500 and Nas100 indexes

Just a small note from my own experience (maybe someone finds it valuable):
I still prefer the H4 timeframe the most. It keeps me away from the screen for longer periods and helps me avoid choppy markets.
I trade a lot of markets successfully—Bitcoin, Gold, Oil, indices, Forex, even Coffee or Cocoa. What I want to say is, like Robinhood said: "What truly works, works on everything."
Stop wasting time with shady prop firms. Once you've proven yourself to be consistently successful, put your balls on the table, deposit your own funds, and trade your own capital.
Only then will you realize: your strategy isn’t the most important element in trading.

Totally Agree with what has been said above and will print the charts off too. Hope everyone is well; been busy with life.
This is my version I like the minimalist approach.
Use the candle cross of the 5 SMA, together with the double stoch and RSI period 5 crossing above / below 50 for entry as the fast stoch can still be a bit slow.
The line on the chart is the midline for the day and updates in realtime. This allows to see where price is compared to the daily mid price.

The amount of effort that goes into teaching by RobinHood truly astounds me every time I check this thread for research.

In a funny way, witnessing this type of behaviour restores my faith in humanity as corny as it sounds.

I wait for a 5 min. candle to close outside of the 15 min. ORB and then I only trade in that direction. But let me be clear about this, I do not just blindly enter just because I get a 5 min. close outside of the ORB. I always wait for other confluences to confirm when to enter.

The premarket high and low tell me where price STOPPED and REVERSED, and to watch those areas because if they were important in the past, then they may become important again, but I do not make trades just based off of them.

Question 3: When trading, do we wait for confluence across all three timeframes—for example, if M15 and H1 both show an uptrend, we then look for long positions on the M5 timeframe?

Confluences across multiple time frames is a tricky thing because we all know that the lower time frames must turn before higher time frames. I literally every day check the: M > W > D > 1 hr. > 30 min. > 15 min. > 5 min. and the 2 min. before I make any day trades. Why? Because it's like when you go somewhere new, you want to get a sense of the environment and a feel for the mood.

It's rare when all of them align, so I just want to get a general sense of which way the market is heading, if possible.

Also, every day without fail, I check the economic calendar (on Forex Factory) for upcoming news, reports or when important people are going to speak, such as the Federal Reserve Chairman or the Fed Governors, etc.

And Do you trade on Friday?

Yes, BUT Friday's after NOON (EST), especially in the summer months are a particularly bad time to day trade because the volume dries up, and so I never do.

Hi RH,
Firstly I would like to say thank you for sharing all of this knowledge, as it has definitely opened my eyes to new ways of trading.
I am still in the process of reading through this thread but I do have one question based on this post which I hope is not too much trouble.
When trading the bull/bear flags on the SPY, do you only use the EMA's and the RSO?

I know that presented screenshot and explanation apply to 2 minutes chart. But i would like to ask about D1 charts for stock screening.

First post in the thread after reading and summarising the whole thing in a 327page Word doc (landscape 45x30cm pagesize!).
RH (as the main instigator ;-)) thank you for your unrelenting effort to share your thoughts and results from working on those thoughts.
Obviously there are other valued contributors as well (Emm, Rosc, etc) but they would not be on this thread if the thread had not been started

I'm still distilling elements from this thread and the ideas of a few other threads into something that works for me and slowly and surely i'm getting there.

Attached y'll find 2 MT5 indicators that i whipped up because Fx-Open has got bigger spreads on MT4 and TV so, for now, i'll just stick with MT5.
The RSO should speak for itself and the other one is a MA tool tailored to this thread. It has 4 buttons,one of which is defined as a Roadmap.
Button 1: MP is a midpoint line (SMA-1 MedianPrice)could be anything else but for me that is the default.
Button 2: RM is the roadmap
Button 3: 1 is an EMA-5-Shift 2 (Emmanuel7788 )
Button 4: 2 is an EMA-66-Close

For me these things are useful and so i thought "Let's add 2c to the thread".

I "could" trade using only EMA's but I add in many other things that show me things that the EMA's don't.

Currently, I am also using:

1. 15 min. ORB - I show myself the ORB using 2 red horizontal lines, one on the the high of the first 15 min. candle, and one on the low.

2. I use the VWAP (a white dotted line) - VWAP = Volume Weighted Average Price.

4. Most often, I also place horizontal lines on the: Pre-market high and low. Yesterday's high, low and Close and today's Open, plus some automated Pivot Points.

5. The RSO.

6. 2 sets of Volatility Stops

7. And, "time of day" is very important to my day trading success. Knowing when not to day trade is just as important to me as knowing when to trade.

Whatever RSO settings that I use, I use the same ones on everything I trade and on every time-frame.

I'm definitely liking the overall strategy shared in this thread. It's very easy to understand and spot. No second guessing.
I was always of the belief that indicators were lagging, but after years of trying to trade without them, I've realized in these threads that there is a way to utilize them.

Based on the one but last post of RH i added a Roadmap flip function to the RM button.
It will now flip through the 34, 18, and 21 (input choice) and 0 (NO RM).
I will NOT become the resident MT5 dcoder but when i put something self-explanatory together i will just post it ;-)

Dare i interpret this as a cursory glance at those TFs and see whether they are above or below the Roadmap (whichever flavor is pertinent) or would you be more inclined to have a look at the RSO and look at the position of the slow signal line?

When day trading, I look at all of the time-frames that I mentioned before but the more important ones for me are the 2, 5, and 15 min.

I also look at what the RSO is doing on every chart at the same time, and I always take into consideration the position of both Stochastics.

Once you have done this long enough, you will get a feel for what the RoadMap and the RSO are telling you with just a very quick glance of each chart.
