Are you using only -DI(21) and +DI(14) or am I reading the graph wrong? I see that the rest of the lines are grayed out.

yes those are my settings on the ADX(14,21). I blurred out the rest because all i need are these two lines [+DI(14),-Di(21)] for extra confluence towards the Nova System.

Hey MonarchZ,

POI= Point of Interest. You would head to your 4H chart [on whichever instrument you are trading] and mark the previous 4H candle high and low. I believe Xkwisit2001 uses the 1H chart but you may have to check with him. This would be considered you point of interest (POI) and then you would drop to you lower TF and trade in the direction the Nova System is leading to. You may have to do some more technical analysis but those points should help you from guessing which direction the market wants to go. I hope this helps.

There isn't one for Nova.

To trade it successfully there needs to be an understanding of context and stucture for it to successfully work.

This is 100% correct.

Don't need anything else other than recent highs and lows that stick out... pullback highs and lows. Nice and simple.

Gold wasnt grusome, you just got caught up in the range that I was commentating on all day. Once things cleared up there was a nice juicy drop for 16R at least

After the move today on gold if you use the fib... once price is pulling back dont take any further trades until price hits a key fib level - mine are marked as you can see.

You want to see at least 50% being hit for a successful pullback to start framing new trades which has happened (below)

Price could have gone up to my favourite fib 66.15% or just before or after but if I know its a pullback phase from the HTF then I will wait to see where price reacts to before entering any more sell signals again.

Also understand time, there is much less volume after london so price wont really do anything crazy so I'd rather not trade.

Where my arrow is you can see theres a little something going on there too so price COULD go there before coming back down... it wouldn't be unusual for that to still happen... maybe even in asian session.

Gold loves to take out liquidity before carrying on.

Id defo be watching here for anything in the future unless price breaks the low. But still good to remember in the future.

It's right in the 66.15% area which is basically the middle between 61.8% & 70.5%.

Sometimes you can get razer sharp entries right off the 66.15% area and then it may spike a little over 70.5%

Gold M5 very similar view. I have the green bands marked as liquidity, which coincides with the .618 fib

I feel like price will either drop or head back up towards 61.8 and spike up to 70.5.

That's the thing with how I trade, I do consider other things based on experience but its okay to still trade nova how I have presented it.

It's flexibility for all traders skill levels.

Gold definitely likes to grab liquidity before showing its real move so I wouldn't be surprised if that happens.

If you see the first trade from when price dropped, you'll see that price purged that very high later before it dropped after that bounce from the support (yellow line)

That's what it does (see below)

Exactly the reason why people say... "my stop loss got hit and then price went where I expected it to go" lol

Another reason why waiting for price to go back to the EMA's help with those losses.

When liquidity is taken its like a double confirmation to enter the nova signal

Most recent correct entries would be here before market swapped over to asia.

Up to 9.2R - last trade was 3.2R but not sure I would have taken that.

Once asia kicks in id wait an hour to see.

Learning from your advice, seeing that the price hit 3304 multiple times during Asian session but never went beyond, I spread out 3R at the levels of 3303, 3303.4, and 3303.8, with a bit above 3304, TP 3300.4 .

Result? 10R profit.

(I will also experiment a bit tomorrow by only going for trades when the Nova indicator crosses over, without necessarily waiting for a Nova signal, while also trying to apply the knowledge I got today. We'll see how it goes)

Fantastic work... it's okay to deviate from what I do. As long as it improves your own trading that's all that matters.

Now you have some good RR in the bucket... don't worry about little 1R losses. Just reset when it happens, watch and wait.

Easy work... price was at the 38.2 level and couldn't break.

Looks like gold took liquidity to move higher, I did say earlier this could be the case that it heads higher first.

If we stay bearish it could be something like this:

Could either sweep the 50% high or head higher towards the 61.8 - 70.5 area.

We can only speculate at the moment though but be ready when EMA's flip.

Anyway, this isn't my trading hours so I need to go to bed now ha

This would be the only correct entry for me... but low volume so no idea.

I'm not trading eitherway but can see if it can take out the high

At least a break even is available though as 1:1 already hit.
