Common mistake no.1

His buy entry was one candle late because he did not follow the 5-Method price action.

This member @Tekkies is making things complicated for himself by refreshing his chart and the TDI.

Study this realtime chart capture 30 minutes into that H1 candle,
- Stoch crossed signal crosses 50-level

- the TDI has not cross and is lagging the Stoch(8,3,3).

So I just came across this thread 2 weekends ago and decided to just read up on it since it seemed interesting.

After setting up the template and watching old charts I thought I might give it a go.

TMS is an understatement if you ask me. I have done about 10 live trades over 5 days and my winrate is 100% just following the first post basically.
Im trading the 4H only.

I sold USD/CHF on the 1-hour chart, but I closed the trade because I’m about to go to sleep and got scared. Did I do anything wrong in this trade?

Have notice that you are ignoring Post#150,305 / 150,308.

The last time you did post any trades taken was in Post#150,242. That's more then a month ago.

Looking at Post#150,142. What rules did you follow to entry that trade?

Post#150,074. Where is your Post#150,323 remarks in any of those trades placed or is it that you need a expert adviser to help you with trading?

Readers should really go back and check how many charts with trades you have posted this year.

Anyway, after more then 10 years you should know by now:
Post#49 ..... That's why I want to enter on candle 1 or 2 if I see a set up.
Post#54 .... Wait for green to CROSS RED and open your trade at the beginning of the new candle... usually candle 1 or 2.
Post#142 .... The idea about entering on candle 1 or 2 if you get the TDI signal#1

Post#2 .... I also use a Stochastics (8,3,3) indicator. It is ONLY used to confirm direction. Nothing else.
Post#267.... Does Stoch's confirm the TDI signal
Post#701 ... TDI looks good with Stochs confirming...

What happens every time Metatrader 4 is closed down or the computer is switched on / off?

Post 1 > You ever woke in the morning popping on your puter and find you made 150 pips while you slept
Post 11 > My page when I open up my charts has 8 open charts. I just glance at the TDI for set ups when the new candle opens... If I see a set up... green just crossing red I'll take the trade, turn off the puter and go to bed. Four hours later (1:50am) my alarm goes off for the new candles and I take a peek... if I see a new set up I'll enter and go back to bed with the last alarm at 5:50am my time. I close all trades at that time and go back to sleep... There are enough set ups in a normal week to make 200-500 pips... Stress is zero...
Post 276 > . I check on any time frame I'm trading... and at night when nature calls I pop on the puter and take a quick look.

Can you remember what you did / looked at before you placed that order?
> Write down what you did.
> Next time you want to enter a trade try and follow what you wrote down.
>> Again write down what you looked at or did after you placed that new order.

As you list grow, remove that what did not work / keep what did work and that list will become your method how you trade with TDI and BigE's advice.

@Tekkies post above is a very good example of this member who has been posting in this thread for 10 years and has not learned anything from the OP' 1488 posts in Forex Factory. He repeats the same mistakes he made in the last 10 years , this is self-sabotage

Your trade entry looks okay IF you only use the Stoch and TDI for entry, which is the same mistake of traders here in the since the time the OP started this thread and made the jump from the old thread.

BUT that sell trade is not one which the OP would consider a best A+++ setup.

Monday like today is usually not the best trading day of the week. The OP trade the 4Hr and his best trading days were Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Thats the plan ;-).

Another thing im doing is trading it on a small live account instead of trading on demo.

Riskmanagement hits different for me on demo.

i took this trade on u/j following first the PA and then the Stoch and TDI, also i think the price made a 1-2-3-4-5 swing move.

i hope that someone experienced in this method can correct me if they see something that does not fit with a good setup, i appreciate your suggestions

Very good H1 trade taken.

You know the 5bars/candles swing low and pick that correctly. The 5-Method setup S/U candle is bar5 which closed above the 5EMA.
This swing low with True REVERSAL happens at BRN140.00.

The Stoch (8,3,3) confirms the trade setup.

The TDI' RSI green price line confirms later after the Stoch(8,3,3).

IF you had check the Weekly and Daily, both timeframes are sideways range-bound. The H4 was in consolidation and looking at the H1 previous price action - swing high and swing lows, confirms the range bound conditions. Therefore taking the H1 trade was the right decision when UJ has been volatile recently. Picking that trade at the round number 140.00 is a good tactic which the OP mentioned a few times in his old thread.
