So if i had taken this trade, I would have just set to BE as there is support above the entry.

No the free TV works just fine. But you do need tradingview to use it.

So for this trade you would be targeting the last high at least. So there is no way you should be taking a loss on this one. Break even at most.

idk it doesn't want to work with my trading view beside it is shows two circles with lines through them

You may need to choose a different broker chart because some brokers don't offer their data feeds on tradingview.

So if this last minor high doesn't get broken I would definitely keep things at BE and wait to see if price wants to take out the low and then continue up.

And in the same period there were more entries that could have been taken... this is why I say I don't take every trade but the opportunities are there.

As I've said time and time again, the best entry is when price runs and the moving averages twist/flip.

First pullback to moving averages, nova entry signal, enter and wait for TP.

If it doesn't work then wait for price to make it's mind up before re-entering.

Hi xkwisit, the indicator looks good. Thx for sharing in the first place. I'm just curious, how is the tradingview data different from the mt4/5 data, unless one is using futures?
Isn't TW's data for forex not also tick data? Team mt4 version here btw

Tradingview does not have data it is a platform...same as mt4 is a platform. The data comes from the broker you connect to, with your chosen platform being mt4 , Ctrader etc etc. With Tradingview you can connect to any one of many brokers whoi choose to supply data to Tradingview. Depending on the broker you connect to for data the volume of any FX pair will vary. Brokers can only provide you with volume traded through their brockerage, FX is not centralisd. So... each broker will have different levels depending on where they get their data feed from or the number of clients they have trading.
If you look back to early posts, IC markets has the most volume of Fx so whatever volume indicator you use , the most accurate data would come from the broker with the most volume. The OP trades through IC markets , or you take a free account with TV hooked up to IC markets and then trade on whetever platform or broker you choose.

If you have the right data/broker feed, the Nova Volume indicator gives an amazing edge with regard to volume, for executing a trade

To also add, the data provided on tradingview from brokers will differ as each broker has different liquidity pools and trading volume from their clients.

If you use a centralised data feed like if you purchase the comex package on tradingview, you will then see the true global volume.

It will always be BEST to use nova with centralised feeds but for fx the broker instrument with the most volume will give better results hence why I use IC Markets.

Doesn't mean you can't use it on other brokers but their data is decentralised so I would rather use the broker with the most volume/liquidity.

Quick rule I stick to: once the trade hits 1:1 RR, I move to break even. Yeah, you’ll get tagged out sometimes, but it keeps your capital safe which is priority number one.

If you’re in profit and you spot a solid opposite engulfing candle, just get out. No ego, no guessing you need to protect the bag.

With Nova, there are endless setups across all pairs and instruments, so there’s no need to force trades or go full Rambo trying to catch every move. That’s how accounts get wrecked.

Like I’ve said loads of times, the cleanest setups are when price makes a strong move, the moving averages flip, and then price pulls back to them. That’s where you want to see your first Nova signal, ideally in line with that original push. That’s the entry.

Go for a 2:1 RR, and either let it hit TP or move to BE and chill.

Gold especially can be cheeky as sometimes the first signal taps you out and the second one nails it. Just part of the game.

I just like to keep stacking the R:R and then I don't really care about losses or break even.

For anyone trading gold, until price runs the last major swing high or swing low (M1) I would stay out because it'll most likely consolidate within that range for a while until NY open.

also when you say flip doe that mean in layman terms the top moving average goes to bottom and the bottom goes to top, sorry is this sounds a dumb question
