Disliked{quote} Dear Sensei Robinhood, Thank you for sharing this powerful mindset shift. Viewing a losing trade as an “unsuccessful system trade” rather than a personal failure makes a lot of sense, and I will definitely start applying this approach. The mental game really is the hardest part, and your guidance helps simplify it. Also, a request if and when time allows, I will be extremely thankful and appreciate if you could share some updated thoughts or tips for Forex trading, especially for those of us still using MT4. Your earlier insights and methods...Ignored
I too still use MT4, but I have not been trading the Forex very much for the last few years except for on the days that the stock market is closed and the Forex is open so I don't really have anything new to say about it.
HOWEVER, to me, a trading chart is a chart is a chart is a chart, it doesn't matter to me the asset class/market/instrument. I just like the way stock and Futures "move" better than I do the Forex.
When possible, I DO often trade everything in the very same way IF I have all the same indicators available to me.
For example, what I posted in Post 10,494, I would trade that method in exactly the same way whether I was trading stocks, Futures, Cryptos or the Forex.
When it comes to trading different types of asset classes (re: stocks, Futures, cryptos, Forex, etc.), you have to learn "which part of town" that you feel the most comfortable in, or the happiest in, or safest in, or the most profitable in, etc.
I feel that the VAST majority of new traders only trade the Forex because the "barrier of entry" is so low. Whereas when day trading stocks in the U.S. you need a minimum of 25k USD in your trading account to day trade stocks every day. And Futures is somewhere in between.
Also, I am also turned off by the Forex because I found out that there are a LOT of charlatans in the Forex trading industry (which I hate) as in brokers and educators and YouTube trading guru's...all trying to separate traders from their money.
For example, I ALWAYS held my main Forex broker "OANDA" to the highest regard, and that's where I have one of my Forex trading accounts, HOWEVER, they were fined heavily for multiple violations, meaning, they didn't just make one simple mistake that was "unintentional".
Here's ChatGPT has to say about it:
OANDA Corporation faced significant regulatory penalties due to multiple compliance failures identified by U.S. regulators. In August 2020, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) fined OANDA $500,000 for violations related to capital, reporting, and supervision rules. Specifically, OANDA failed to meet minimum net capital requirements between April and August 2019, violated equity withdrawal restrictions by making unauthorized dividend payments in October 2018, April 2019, and May 2019, and lacked adequate internal controls and supervision over its operations. financemagnates.com+5financefeeds.com+5financemagnates.com+5usaherald.com+4cftc.gov+4financefeeds.com+4usaherald.com+5atozmarkets.com+5financemagnates.com+5
Additionally, in April 2021, the National Futures Association (NFA) imposed a $200,000 fine on OANDA for deficiencies in its compliance practices. The NFA found that OANDA failed to submit accurate daily forex reports, implement an adequate anti-money laundering program, maintain a sufficient information systems security program, and properly handle and document customer complaints. These issues were compounded by inadequate supervision and repeat deficiencies despite prior warnings. reddit.com+3financefeeds.com+3fxnewsgroup.com+3oanda.com+3brokersview.com+3fxnewsgroup.com+3brokersview.com+3fxnewsgroup.com+3oanda.com+3
These regulatory actions highlight the importance of robust internal controls, accurate reporting, and diligent supervision in maintaining compliance with financial regulations.

After I heard that, I removed 99+% of my money from my OANDA account and now only trade the Forex through another broker I have called "Interactive Brokers" which is also where I trade mostly trade stocks and Futures.
