I can add ENVELOPE to both the Price-on-Chart and on the RSI in sub-window ... make things complicated.

hi Emmanuel
so the idea was to add two set of envelopes indicator one reading deviaton of 0.008 and the other envelope reading 6.000 so when plotted on the chart the 6.000 should act like support or resistance and the the showing price moving to the area(RSI) so then..in the picture below i have plotted the first envelope(like i was instructed,truly grateful) and the second one isnt working like the first...

Does any of you here know much about COT report and analysis?

I wont flood this thread with COT report messages but just was curious, that's all.

I took this trade on GJ yesterday after a positive reaction to some bond news during the Asian session. I placed a pending stop order at the round number for a 1:1.5 RR trade. I have removed the 200MA and am trading under or over the 55MA for bias with the MAs stacked.
Monday's gap has been filled on all yen pairs, that would have been a beautiful target from Wednesday, I hope some of you caught it.

I have been trying to implement some of IslandFX's rules:
Never enter a bullish trade on a bullish candle (You will be paying retail price)
Never enter a bearish trade on a bearish candle. (If you do this you will never make it)

I have used it a lot in past, because I knew a Trader that swore on that... till I asked myself how much that COT Report actually does in my trading.. and the answer was.. basically nothing.

I am a big fan of removing the useless and keeping the most important.

So I threw it in the bin.... of course there might also be Traders in here that absolutely love it..

Cog, sorry to hear it did not work for you.

I have been trying to understand the COT report for just over 5 weeks now. I can see why most people try and give up as it feels the data is pretty much useless as the data is from holding positions 4 days prior for the week. Sometimes i think major moves if any has already happened in those 3-4 days.

But I feel there are some hidden elements we can uncover from the report. How and its interpretation is what i am working on. I might not get there fully and might give up once I have tried but I want to keep going.

With the help of ChatGPT, i am working on a template (which does take a while to populate. Dont suggest auto upload etc as I am not interested, i want to do this manually to learn), which gives good info once the data is arranged in certain way.

Work in progress. Sharing a screenshot incase it springs interest from others.

BTW, It is just over 15 days in May and I am smashing the PnL already. Just with TMS.

Tks for sharing Roscearm. Would you say , most of your trades are mostly based on the 5 min TF?

For me, the timeframe doesn't matter. It can be 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 4h etc. TMS works on all timeframes, all instruments.

I am currently using 15mins as my days are getting busier. But I am still able to trade using TMS.

Check what works for you. Until you put your reps in, you may not be able to see the setups even if it presents itself.

In your template, I saw that you used two Stochastics: 12, 3, 3 and 55, 10, 3.
Could you please share how you use them in your strategy?

The rules are provided by RH on the 1st page. it says.

5. The 2 Stochastic Lines must be above, or crossing above the Purple 50 Line for longs OR below for shorts.

Why do you prefer using 12, 3, 3 and 55, 10, 3 instead of more common Stochastic settings like 8, 3, 3 and 14, 3, 3?
