Haha, Yeah, I think so, too, Emmanuel, but I'm going to pull the trigger on my demo and learn more. Thanks for the post!

I need to learn more about your comments regarding "aggressive entry and conservative exit". If that is a thing, or just beware and watch it. I was tired, it was close to 2 am here, and I just figured, let's see where this one goes.

This occurs when prices are tightly consolidated ATR values are low and generally below historical averages.

The OP never taught us how to read the charts and to determine the market type conditions.
All he said many times if to look for price swings of 3 to 8 candles and that "3 to 8 candles" came from another system/method.
If on the 4Hr charts you see swing highs and swing lows 3 to 8 candles in a week, and there are 29 H4 candles in one week, what is the market type ?
In a trending market week, the 4Hr candles can run more than 8 candles, can be anything 3 to 15 and even to 20 candles.
A swing high/swing low + true REVERSAL needs 5 candles.

Regarding the BigE's point you have mentioned about using price swings (3 to 8 candles) on the H4 chart, I understand the perspective.
However, I have made analysis with my focus with ATR, to have a more quantitative approach when classifying market types, rather than relying solely on candle swings. The ATR values provide a measure of volatility over specific periods, helping to objectively identify whether the market is trending or ranging.

Whats your view on that? Would love to hear your thoughts on how we can possibly integrate both the ATR-based approach and the 3-8 candle swing concept you mentioned for a more complete market analysis.

I have never done coding but seems like a simple if one use a simple "IF" Logic, one can can easily identify the market types using the Weekly ATR values of 5, 52, 104.

Looking forward to your insights.

Please can you share the indicator in the images you have posted , that plot the line on the Weekly Control Candle?

Once again, I want to express my gratitude for all your invaluable guidance.

Today, I made my first trade using BigE’s system (RIP). I am aware that I have much to learn, and I expect to make mistakes along the way. I look forward to studying further under your mentorship and improving my mistakes along the way.

I would greatly appreciate your feedback on my entry decision for this trade.

1) If you don’t mind, could you please share the indicators and the template you are using? I would like to use the same setup to ensure we are on the same page. This will also make it easier for me to understand your instructions as my mentor.

2) Based on the logic you shared earlier (thank you again for the ATR link), I did some further research over the weekend. With the help of AI, I developed an indicator that displays the weekly values of ATR5, ATR52, and ATR104 directly on the chart and even indicates the market type. It is still in its early stages and will likely require significant improvement.

I will share the code once I return from the office. Perhaps you or someone else in the group can help enhance it further.

Hello dear Emmanuel,
I have a question.
What should we do when different timeframes show conflicting signals? For example:

  1. The 1-hour timeframe shows a buy signal,
  2. The 4-hour timeframe shows consolidation,
  3. But the daily timeframe shows a strong short signal, yet it has hit a support zone.

In such cases, can we take a long position on the 1-hour timeframe, or should we wait for the support zone to break and take a short position?

You missed the Big Picture of XAU and the WTDA.

XAU is at a all time high and there is still lot of demand for the metal GOLD. A lot of high-net-worth-investors are buying GOLD to hedge their assets.

Spot gold is in consolidation for 3 weeks with that WCC.

When will GOLD break high again ?

Your TDA should be Weekly > Daily > 4Hr

Do Not trade the 4Hr when it is in consolidation. Trade the 1Hr.

Know the key levels - Support and Resistance .

Do NOT use signals as your technical analysis. Post#647 is about Price Action and when you use the Stoch and TDI as your helping indicators, you use these to confirm the Price ACtion. This way, you will one day reach the level where you can follow the OP' post #2617 in 2 to 3 years.
