EU fully developed on MADdash as well. The liquidation of all the short players has happened as well.
Total +28 pips with 2 losses as well as my entries sucked.

My observations were, that when the pair get strong it often is at its highest.

I would like though to know how Gillead trails the trade. When we hit a long run - and we will here and there, then this is vital.

Hey RiskFighter,

Thanks for stepping in to respond to Tricolor.

Now to your questions, there are several ways I trail my trades. As we all know price move in waves, therefore we need to allow room for price to express itself. I was using an initial stop loss of 49 point but has now increased it to 159 point to allow enough room for price to move. If you look at the EURAUD chart, you will notice that the first 2 trades were closed at a loss because I used a 49 point SL. So I adjusted the SL to 159 point and trail SL by:

  1. a fixed number points behind price after xx points in favour of the trade,
  2. use a moving average cross that shows trend is slowing and changing.

Keep tweaking the system until you find a way to turn a lagging indicator into a leading one. Find a way to recognize when the strong is at its highest, so your robot does not take trade at peak levels. One of the ways is to have an entry benchmark point. I use the Moving Average Channel (of high and low), buy above and sell below. This post 2387 gives a general idea of how I trade, and the difference is that I now use M1 instead of M5 time frame. It is a full, simple and all complete system with setup and entry conditions, entry, stop loss and trade management. Get familiar with it and you can take what is useful to you, and adapt it to your trading system and style as we all don't trade the same way or have the same temperament.

Your system is almost identical to the system I normally trade. The colour between the MA's are the Smothed Moving Average with the parameters 1,1,TriggerMA,1. It gives me a nice visual fast look at the status.

I normally exit on passing the upper MA if in a short trade. But I have all kinds of exits I can choose from coded in the robots. I do not leave the robot and then go fishing. I put it on if I find the trend interesting and I sit put on the PC. But the robot takes the trades I want anyway, just faster and without my idiotic stummock.

I am inspired of your way to get out of a trade with just few pips if the trade goes the wrong way and then just wait for the large runs to happen. I will trade that way next week.

And it is genious to make the lagging indicator leading by watching the lowest timeframe pullback and return to the trend. Of cause I do that too in some robots, but I never thought of it as changing the lagging to leading. Genious.

This is very generous. Do we know if anybody have tried using these GV data? I will try using them in my strength trading robot. Together with the Lagging -> Leading strategy at lowest timeframe, a slope measure and maybe an ATR measure, it should be possible to make a trading signal.

That's a long thread and I have reached page 42 by now. Still need a lot of reading.

I find that this tool is perfect to identify trends. Situation right now is, that CHF is going up and AUD and NZD is going down. Because of the almost full coloured blocks I can find that NZDCHF and AUDCHF must be the best to trade right now. Watch these nice trends on H1. At H4 it is even steeper.

Can I take a trade now?
No! Is the trend over? could be - maybe not.
This is a situation where we might have the lagging MA is behaving as the leading indicator - telling on beforehand that a trencontinuation might be coming.

So I wait until I get a bar that breaks my lower MA and then I am in the next run of the trend. If the trend is over, then I do not get an enter signal.

I use CCI as confirmation. It must have been above 100 and I can trade when it passes zero in south direction. If it did not pass above 100, then there is no trade.

I also want more trending colours at the M5 and M1 columns.

My MA channel is 20EMA high and low. MADdash is 37EMA. A bit odd - yes, I have to work on it.

This is my first go on MADdash and I am aware, that I am not doing like everybody else. I am using it together with my normal strategy.

Drawing the channel on AUDCHF M5, there is basis for a nice long run to the south - IF we get the signal.
