OK. People are showing up. Super.

I have becktested systems for more than 10 years. The best result ever was 17.000.000$ in one year in the robot I tested. It was one specific pair traded every Wednesday night between 1:00 and 3:00. It is called curve fitting and that happens when you backtest. But in real life it would have been a loss. Real life is different. People look back at the M5 and find loads of fine signals. But in the real world, the trades are lost by giant spikes or just every day spread. Therefore making a robot on nice looking back charts is a waste of time. You must try the strategy in your fingers. Therefore - trade it, and let us hear about your problems and your victories. Let us know if it makes money. And proof it here.

I like forward test better than backward test.

Thank you to the contributors of this thread especially RF and the Jube. I had success on AUDJPY and GBPUSD. I love the concept and I am keen to follow.

Completely agree!

Don't want to force anything here, but i do think that a plain simple exit EA could really help the forward testing.
I mainly trade the M5 as the entry timeframe and then waiting hours to hopefully close a position for 6 times per trade on the right moment, could hurt the forward testing data we want to gather.

What is your opinion on this?
It could be a simple one; maybe just inserting manually 6 ordernumbers with a closing rule (CCI value rule).
We could create a workgroup from the people who want to forwardtest and give the simple basic closing EA to that group, so the results would be more on point compared to manually closing (but still be in live market so there will be spread and news etc with this closing EA so it will be real data).

Hope to hear your opinion on this RF

OK. I will code the exit robot first. It requires more than just an indicator, so I need some days for that. And I have a virus for the time being that makes me very tired.

Regarding people that shall have the stuff I make I have some doubt. In generel I like to share. That is what we do here. But we share strategies that people can adapt and merge to their own strategies. Here and there I make a nice tool and even an exit robot. But if I go further and make a tool that makes trading too easy, i know that there will be the usual 1,000 downloads from people that does not lift a finger.

So on one hand I want us to be here on FF. We owe that to the community. On the other hand, I might think that we make a private group that will be working hard together to make the robots. But that is not now. For now we are in the sharing mode and I will shar the exit robot here.

Yeah i fully 100% agree on this view RF!
Lets start with exit robot first, then the rest and indeed a private group with people who are eager to help and put time and effort in it

Hi Cog,

Not sure if TV was allowed here hehe, but to make you less dizzy: the pips29 indicator i dont really use it, just as visual reference, but theres no strict rule around it so if you are less dizzy without it, i would advise to skip that one first.

And maybe youre still on it, but 20/100ema cross should also be down on the histograms.

@RF Not sure if you like TV here on the thread, thats up to you of course

Hey CogA - do you have it published on TV yet? Or still in your alpha?
Wanna do some testing, but my broker uses mt5, so cant use the mt4 stuff, so TV will be the way to go for me.

Already people asking for the TV version. In no time we have a bunch of people sharing TV indicators that does not exist on MT4 and everything gets cluttered.

I have great respect for you Cog - and Machine. This strategy does have possibilities. I would prefer if the two of you made a thread with the TV version. No offense hopefully??

Tak for din tråd og input her på FF.

Jeg er meget uenig med "alt skal være MT4" eller forsvind. Metatrader er en tusse-gammel platform, der er god, men snart fortid. Tradingview er fremtiden såvel indenfor charting, chart-trading, strategier og er en hub for nogle af verdens bedste kodere og traders.

Cog og ML har i lang tid leveret unikke indicators og input til TV, hvilket hele FF har haft glæde af. Så det vil være en skam at de pludselig skal i skammekrogen pga. manglende forståelse for TV.

Bare mit input og tak igen.

Metatrader kan mange ting som TV ikke kan. Det er ting jeg bruger meget. Iøvrigt har jeg mange års programmering som jeg ikke gerne smider væk.

Og du er velkommen til kun at følge tråde som bruger dine foretrukne værktøjer.
