Hello Everyone,
I hope all is going well for everybody,
I read one of the first post of this thread concerning : holding a trade trough a week-end (written by RH)
He looks very stressfree when he gave his tips.
But to be honest I would like to have fresher suggestions
Cause I have positions that I would like to keep over the week-end, specially on the USOUSD, EURCHF and EURAUD
I don't really know where to put my SL, if I need to close all positions or not. I would be very grateful for any suggestions !!!
I think I am going to close one third of each trades before the market's closing.

I let any positions on 4h TF or above go through the weekend. Anything lower that I feel its riskier because of spreads, market Open on sunday etc...but thats me u can choose to close all trades. U choose Ur plan. Sl follow the method provided...2 bar back or swing nearby.

The white line is just RSI-based MA line. If I look closely the RSI based MA works and looks more or less like the MACD signal line. So, i can do away with one indicator on the charts.

My GOLD chart is a mess. Please ignore all the horizontal lines. +2R

EURUSD - now, with this one, i had put it a BE after the price ran considerably down. SL was hit (at BE) and then hit TP. This is why I am hesitant to move my stops from the original position. If you look at Gold, it did similar thing, but thankfully hit TP first before coming back and then going in the intended direction.

Gold +2R
EUR 0R

Straasha, thanks for this. I put it back to your default settings and the alerts now trigger as expected on MT4. However, it is not getting push notified. Should it be doing that with your code or is it work in progress?

The answer is simple. If you are "concerned" about holding your positions over the weekend (or overnight), then your positions are probably too large relative to your account size (the amount of money in your account). Therefore, it would probably be in your best interest to close the trades or reduce the position sizes.

Regarding Stop placements, I typically place mine just above or below the most recent swing low or high (depending on whether I am Long or Short), otherwise, if that's too far away, I tend to place my Stop just below or above 2 bars back.

By trading the correct position size relative to my account size, and placing my Stop in the ways that I just described, I am never "worried" about how much I can lose on a trade.

There are 3 keys to trading successfully. They are: Mind, Method, and Money Management. Fail at any of them, and you will fail at trading.

Thanks a lot for your answers MaDxPT and RH,
I take many notes, for information, all my entries were in H4 and daily.
USOUSD hits TP at 70.320,
I closed EURAUD before the candle hits the trailing SL so small profit on it, but it is still a profit
And I will see but I think I will let EURCHF trough the week-end cause the daily set-up looks great in my opinion

I only trade 0.06 lots max which is small compare to my account size, I follow RH strategy's by exiting in 3 times my positions.
But I think this week-end I will learn a little bit more about money management thanks to you RH cause as you said in your message, it is such a very important part of trading.
If anyone can suggest me great thread to learn about Money management I will be gratefull.

To conclude almost all is closed due to TP or reversal
But I will keeep my EURCHF position open over the week-end, let's see, I have little to lose...

I like to say: "The Truth is Always the Truth".

Look at these 6 charts, all are of Tesla from today.

They are: 1 min., 3 min., 15 min., 1 hr., Daily, and Weekly.

These charts all have Continuation trades using the very same length ema's on every chart.

So this proves that traders can be successful when trading Continuation Trades, and that it doesn't really matter which time frame someone trades.

In my opinion, this IS the "Keys to the Kingdom" no matter what type of financial market you trade.

Yes, it's true that I hadn't implemented it yet.
So here's version 0.6, which includes push notifications. I've done a few tests, and it seems to work.

I also got in touch with pewebly who coded the TMMS Oscillator 7.4 RHO indicator. We'll be able to continue its evolution and work on alerts.

That eurusd trade trade seems like it worked well! Yet didn't it break the "rules/method" of being under the 50. Line?
I'm not trying to pick apart your trades (I guess kinda) just trying to understand what you seen in that setup with the qualifiers not in place to make a trade

Also:
Did you end up taking the long trade prior to that short? It seems like that long that was 15hours back or so would have been an ideal setup up

If I go by the rules, yes, I did break it here.
Having said that, I have been trying different entry strategies to catch the trade early, this was one of them. If this had failed, i would have waited until the RSI below 50 and taken another trade.

This is still work in progress. Will share the details when I have enough backtesting results.

These charts give out lot of information. I am sure RH agrees with me here.
I am trying to read them and understand so I can setup my trades a bit better.

Sharing the 5min chart just to show more details as on 1hour it was just couple of bars to TP.

I have shorten the stoch periods and it can do wonders!
struggling to decrease the amount of trades you get during rangy Markets though... the common problem with trend Systems...

Delete the range trades... keep the good trades.. and don't be too late to the party either. Tough nut.
