Hello RH. First of all i have to say thank you that you come back to the thread. Your advices are always very helpfull. I try to replicate your stock screener for swing trading. Thats what i have created: ============================================================ ema(3) > ema(8) and ema(8) > ema(21) and ema(21) > ema(34) and ema(34) > ema(55) and ema(55) > ema(200) and EMA(3) crossed above EMA(8) within the last 2 days weekly ema(3) > weekly ema(8) and weekly ema(8) > weekly ema(21) and weekly ema(21) > weekly ema(34) and weekly ema(34) > weekly...

Correct below BUT NOT at this point in the code.
EMA(3) crossed above EMA(8) within the last 2 days
You first want the code to tell it as you did at the very top 3>8>21, etc.
Then you want it to wait until the 3 has "dipped" below any of the other ema's but not below the 55 (and of course the 200) because if all the ema's are aligned correctly, then it's a given that the 55 will be > the 200.
Then, and most importantly, you want it to tell you "when" the 3 has crossed back above the 8 (as long as all other the ema's are still aligned correctly).
Below, I don't take into consideration if the Weekly ema's are aligned IN MY CODE as you have them below. It's not a bad idea, but I just don't do it in this instance. Possibly you could back test it both ways to see which way is the best. However, I do ALWAYS take a quick cursory look at the Weekly chart and if I see something I don't like, I don't enter.

I do not consider the EPS, but some things I do consider are volume, volume buzz, % change, and the float. The float is very important to me, the lower the better, because it's related to supply and demand. Lower supply means it's not much available. Low float means the very same thing. So often lower float stocks will "squeeze up" in price quickly and irrationally because there is not much supply available (but this is actually much more important in day trading).
There are many, many other nuances, data, and criteria that I consider, but it usually takes years of constant study to learns these things. Often it's just learning by trial and error. And, you evolving as a trader over time.
You have to put in the time, the work and the dedication to educating and studying this stuff. And, if you want if badly enough, you'll figure it out. It's a REALLY REALLY REALLY hard game to succeed at (above just being average), but that's that the way it should be because it allows you to make money from the traders who are not yet good/great at it.
It's like the title of a good trading book that I read "Bird Watching in Lion Country". Now, let that really sink in.

Here's mine in action:
Notice the green check marks to the far right. That's my code showing me all of the stocks that meet my potential entry criteria (based solely on the ema's).
Beyond that, I whittle the list down very quickly by wanting the volume of a stock to be over 1 million, but 8-900,000 is ok with me too.
I want the float to be low, as in preferably < 20 million (depending on the stock).
I want the stock to ideally be priced between $2 and $20.
On the day I enter, I want the candle to be green and yesterday's also.
I want the stock to have some "Volume Buzz", meaning that other traders are interested in it because they are also trading it.
Ideally, I want the "Relative Volume" to be much higher than it normally is on any given day.
I want the blue line in the RSO to be well above the 50 line, the higher the better.
So these are all pieces to my trading puzzle, not all of my pieces, but a good amount. They allow me to get as many advantages on my side as possible AND I get a clearly defined place to put my stop loss. So I know going in how much risk I am taking on.
Do I ever break any of the rules? Yep, but I do that based on what my intent is with each trade.
For example, if I feel really confident about where a stock is going, I won't place a stop, and I may buy more and more as the stock goes down to get more shares at a low average cost for all shares.
On other trades, I may go in really heavy on the shares but have a VERY tight stop.
This whole thing is just a game to entertain me, and obviously to also make some money at the same time.
