Channels are my bacis thing
I am playing with a new tool system
that is secondary to this - I am still working on it.
& I am not sure what I am going to do with it.

Hey TEB, with regards to your CAD/JPY 4h chart on post #1943, the second yellow spot is a point that would define the channel because it is the second point. I would not know to buy at that point because right there at the 2nd yellow circle the channel would not have been defined as yet. How would you know to buy at that point if the channel has not been formed? Do you wait for a channel to form and then buy?

it had Bounce off the channel with the close of the 1st candle
We have a very strong channel in place already
- both in the 4 hour & day channel
I would have places the trade on the candle close.
SL 10 pips below the Channel!!

I almost places it last night even before the close
but.. I was tired & I had a good day

Wait till it confirms - one more candleafter this one closes
or Buy & place a stop below the channal
on the close of this candle

Hey TEB, how is the channel formed with only 1 point? That is what I am trying to ask. I am not sure the second area would be good to place a trade as the channel had not been formed as yet. You see what I am saying? The channel you have drawn was started (according to your red line) just at the first yellow area.

Vder, I think that was just a part of the channel, zoomed in, on the previos chart you can see the whole channel, and there is more than one points.

PS. sorry, I take my words back, didn't quite understand what exactly you meant until i reread your post on previous page.

What kind of candle formations are you looking for, pin bars for instance or something more complicated?

AUD/JPY 4 hour

I have said before I am not a great believe in fibbs
that is other then the 50% fibb (& the 0% & 100%)
The 50% is the one I think is the gold one!!
you can make a lot of money just on this one fibb 50%
