Something I have heard very little about on this forum is how cyclical 'volatility' is. We could be entering another volatility upspike, stretching out our perception of what is 'regular'. I still hear the voices of posters that couldn't believe what the different pairs were doing during the different bubbles bursting.
Not saying that is what this is but that volatility has been low for a few years now. Cycles repeat. There will eventually be 200pip days. Central banks can't avoid them forever no matter what they say.

BUT.... I also do research to detect certain cycles as you referred to. My goal is to be able to catch invisible reversal points based on distance, if such exist... I didn't come to a conclusion yet, since I am still studying those, and I am therefore not risking too much whenever I open counter-trade orders. Once I am done with my studies, depending on the result, I might stick to 100% trend-following and ditch this trial, but for now I keep my hopes.

There is a potential for a relief move but we have to clear the 1.0788 on an hourly and daily basis. The DXY is also rolling over from 104.5, so there is a pretty good chance. After such a long slide that should be in. Also good to see the bounce from the trendline...

Ok, it looks like the same playbook as last Thursday, daily low on London closing but US low cannot take out that low made during London time...
That points to a bounce back to 1.0811. Let's see.
UPDATE: Beige Book came out painting a sluggish picture. Since Powell is relying on this source (by his own words) that raises the questions of continuous or more drastic (0.5%) FED cuts ahead?
That would mean if the Europe PMI data tomorrow coming in just as expected (or better) -> the long-awaited bounce in the EUR might occur.
That points to a bounce back to 1.0811. Let's see.

We have only seen demo trades wiped out on several occasions so far.
