hmm nice weekly graph.. I missed it and i long for it... Here i updated that graph with some fib and extension levels... A retrace might happen according to it.

I agree with you , but I see that trendline as a perfect profit taking spot , not as a resistance . Still see possibility to reach 1.4220 area ( but as I said it will move higher in time ).

As you can see market is always having trouble staying in that segment so it might just slip from it at anytime , and never come back.

IMVHO , two things :

1. Europe's need to buffer energy costs ( by keeping EURO as high as possible )

2. Interest rate speculations ( possible interset rate cuts by Feds and hike by Euro zone )

come on eurusd... go up go up... I dont want to wait until monday and see that suddenly a 50 pip gap happened.

I agree with both of you, Alfa159 and SammyJ.

On the short term I think we will se a small retracement (100-200 pips) followed by an uptrend continuation till 1,4 or 1,42.

On a longer term I think we will see a sturdy change of trend from bullish to bearish when EU will touch 1,4(2) because the "channel" on W1 could be called a "rising wedge", a particular triangle with this kind of behaviour.

owkenobi:

Narrow ranging all week indicates you may be right.

No amount of "bulling" seems sufficient to sustain
the upward move.

It may play out simiiar to today's analysis for the

in the last 4 hours, 10 minutes before in every hourly bar closes, the pair rallied towards 1.3790 level... what could this mean?

very strong indeed... which makes me fear a strong and fast movement towards south if breeched... I know the pair will hit 1.39 at least but still gives me the creeps.

i am aiming for 1.3807... where it rejected few hours ago and came down to 1.3780

So... Here we are nearing the end of the week. The low of the week was like 3760 though a lot of people are in at 3600

Are we going to see people do some profit taking on the day? If so when do you think it will happen? London close? NY close?

Might todays profit taking become the beginning of next weeks decline?
