Probably not the answer you want to hear, but win rate depends more on the trader than the systems. The important part is being profitable. I know traders with 30% win rate who are super profitable and other with 70% win rates who lose money. And truthfully, I don't pay attention to mine.

The system I'm using now is still evolving. You can see from the charts posted what the template is, but as of Monday removing the WPR and replacing with the ADX 6 period.

Cheers Rocky - haven't had much time to spend on the charts in the last 4 weeks since getting back from Oz. Still checking your charts everyday and comparing to my set up although I am still inclined towards MNQ. Also following along with your set up changes. I have just asked ChatGPT about the ADX indicator functions & using it on Renko Blocks. Bit of learning / reading to do there but if anyone is interested I have given a link to what I have found out about the indicator & its possible uses. Just copy & paste in browser.

Hey RP - I have taken a screenshot for you from yesterdays session ( your time ) using the old Renko & macd settings on ES. I will be interested to check out how it looks when I add the ADX

To be honest, rocky, I couldn't begin to trade your current version. Too much back and fill on M1 ES to use Heiken Ashi, imo. I think the renko H-A hybrid was the ticket. You should just throw out your computer and buy a new one so you can go back to the original.

It's the trader not the system. I've traded multiple systems over the years. Success comes from the ability to adapt. to circumstance. I've switched from good systems to another just because I was tired of the one I was using. I'm still trading Price Structure, trends etc. it's just a visual change, the basics, money/risk management don't change.

I'm finding this to be truer and truer every day I've been practicing letting my winners run and cutting losers quickly. Todays net pips won trading the dax, nasdaq and dow cfd's was 77.1 pips (100.1 pips win - 23 pips loss, over 11 trades - 6 wins, 4 close to break even, 1 full loss). This was from the NY open, 14.30 to 16.00 UK time. I moved stops to break even and those losses were actually positions in the correct direction, I just moved stops too quickly to break even. I'm at the moment learning to become very selective in what I get involved in and so far I'm learning the type of chart (how price action looks) that I do well on.

I've learned from Rockypoint and a few others in this thread that its about the trader setting up his/her workspace and headspace to be able make effective decisions that encourages letting winners run and cutting losses short. I really think this is concept goes over many peoples heads because its said too much and not much attention is paid towards it. I've now simplified my chart and simplified my approach and its been working well. I'm now looking to build consistency over time by following the simple things that I've been doing everyday.

Sounds like you are headed in the right direction. Keep up the good work. Money/Risk management is ultimately the key to profitability.

The Squeeze is great and it’s my secret ingredient I prefer not to talk about on Forex Factory. There is less setups but the profit factor is incredibly high. Works best on the 5 minute chart but surprisingly good on Renko charts as well after a few changes. It’s especially good on NQ and Bitcoin on both the 5 minute chart and the 1 hour time frame, on Forex it’s good on the 1 hour or Day charts.

Works best if you change the BB to a EMA instead of a SMA in my opinion, and let’s not forget the Cumulative Delta indicator as well.

I tried to explain to another forex trader on another thread (Riskfighter) how to find trends in financial markets before they actually move. He just took offence to my posts and banned me (perhaps my comments were a bit abrasive) so I never got to explain how anyone can trade a trend BEFORE THE TREND appears.
Then we can sell out to all those retail traders getting in far too late (off course most of them are B book but you get my idea).

Hey RickM, another insightful FF member that I follow! I do not understand why anyone would forego potentially practical information. I for one would be very interested in what you have to say about finding a trend BEFORE it appears. I've tried the TDI to see the squeeze but I found that it was distracting my attention too much, which I put down to inexperience. It would be cool to read about your thoughts on trend finding! EDIT: RickM, I know that thread. I have actually read most of it and I understand the point you were putting across. Find the signs of a trend (dead market - the squeeze) rather than rely on an already existing trend. I still would like to hear your thoughts! Cheers!

Nope I don't look at longer time frames in general. I trade the chart just the way you see it in 1 min. candles. For me all I care about is what's happening in last 4 hours and what the price structure looks like, ranging, trending(strong or weak). I like to keep it simple. I'm day trading.

Been trading squeezes since 2008 off and on. Yes use ema's on the BB's.

I was talking about band expansion and said I like to look for explosive volume during this time. He said it’s rookie talk because I should be saying expanding instead. That got me banned but that’s fine because it’s only social media anyway and can I say Risky seems like a nice guy.

A wise man once told me never trade against a Squeeze breakout on trend unless your’e a vegetarian choosing to eat out at a Texas Roadhouse Restaurant - just unwise indeed.

Hi Binnie! Another notable character in this thread. I have been looking for a way to measure momentum and speed in renko charts other than seeing boxes print quickly during live time and also other than marking time with vertical lines and comparing pip gain from one trend to another manually. I have been using phrases such as 'renko speed indicator', 'renko pips per second' and the likes. Then I remember this post of yours where you had a way to measure renko momentum in pips per second or X seconds per renko bar. That's precisely what I am looking for!
