Not Grouper season now, that starts in late Oct. thru April. Most of the fish i like to eat are when Sea of Cortez cools down Grouper, Pompano, Red Snapper, and Sea Bass. You will see big racks in front of certain restaurants, where fisherman bring grouper in to be cleaned and cut up. The restaurant will cokk them up a dinner and get to keep a large portion of the Grouper for free. One of my favorite fish, especially grouper cheeks/collars.

Looking at your recent charts when you changed to time-based bars and indicators, it seems to me that both RSI and WPR look so similar in shapes, moves and turns, that using both may not provide additional information than using just one of the two. "Simpler is better" by removing one. What do you think? Or are you just in the process of comparing the two to decide? Thanks for any feedback.

Will follow for a little while but might be done for the week. Got 1 trade which turned a meh day into an okay day. So if I trade again will be picky on entries.

You are correct I am deciding between the 2. And I have chosen the RSI the WPR even with the longer setting has been a little too jumpy. Plus divergences are more reliable with the RSI.
That said I am still looking to add another indicator for confirmation on entries. I will be looking at both the MACD and ADX. I think the BB's and RSI are a very good pairing. You know me I always like to tinker around with systems.

Hi RP, many thanks for taking time to regularly post your trades for us all to learn from, your consistency and win rate is quite something.

After studying your charts this is what I've learnt regards entry criteria...

Long trade:
Bullish candle (green)
RSI > blue (10 period) above red (3 smooth) AND above 50
close of candle toward the upper bollinger band

Short trade:
Bearish candle (red)
RSI > blue (10 period) below red (3 smooth) AND below 50
close of candle toward the lower bollinger band

Is this broadly what you're looking for to enter a trade?

Would you ever enter a trade if price was around the middle bollinger?

Yes that is correct and yes I would enter some trades on crosses of the mid line(10 ema).

Even if a trade meets the criteria it would probably be unwise to take if it could run into nearby support or resistance.

Had some interesting results, went back and redid today's trades replacing WPR, first with 6 period ADX and then with 8/17/9 MACD.

With the ADX my losing trade was eliminated and my 17 tick win was 15 ticks all other trades the same so I would've netted 4 more ticks and had 1 less trade.
With the MACD I lost 2 ticks on my first trade, still had the loser, but the big difference was I lost 16 ticks on the last trade, s a total of 24 ticks less.

Therefore I will start next week using the ADX in place of WPR and comparing results to the MACD.
