Hey guess121, backtesting can be successful because you wait for the cross to be solidified ie. wait for the candle to close. When a candle is being formed, the stochs can cross and then uncross depending on how the market is moving. therefore, I will wait for a cross to be confirmed BEFORE placing a trade. In backtesting it should prove to be the same as forward testing as you are waiting for the crosses before making a trade.
