After printing a record weekly up candle, EUR/USD has stabilized below the 1.0948 resistance level. The pair reached a high of 1.0926 from a low of 1.0777, following the worse-than-expected NFP and unemployment rate news, which sparked expectations of more rate cuts from the Federal Reserve starting in September.
In the short-term, we can expect the pair to consolidate and find support at levels like 1.0870 or 1.0895/1.0905, potentially setting the stage for another leg up towards higher resistance levels at 1.0960 & 1.0980.
There is a good chance that the uptrend may continue and reach the 1.1000/38 region, but it will likely require some time for the uptrend to develop. Dips below the 1.0870 level could slow down this process, while the 1.0827 and 1.0800 levels should act as solid support, preventing deeper declines.
Traders should remain patient and keep a close eye on price action to identify potential entry points and opportunities to capitalize on this developing uptrend.

Gold would normally go up in a recession. I think the move was the "big boys" taking advantage of the reaction (over reaction?) to the employment numbers
and taking profits. If the recession is real then the money coming out of shares will go into gold. Price goes back up and beyond to 2540
The sellers on friday buy back on monday....and rinse and repeat.
Or on reflection the numbers arent really that bad and shares are now cheapish and buyers step in on monday and gold continues lower.
Or an indecisive messy mix of both until later in the week.

As expected, 50% retracement done and TP just before the big drop lol. Now shall wait for London opening, really wanna go long but I'd rather wait for confirmation and not get caught to London manipulation, bear momentum might yet continue for liquidity grab even though everything is pointing towards bullish momentum.
