This pair has become as volatile as GBP/JPY, so one must have very generous SL, if any, and good risk management for this pair.
I traded USD/JPY when it was so predictable that it was the only pair I was trading, but not anymore - before, 250-300 pips was huuuuge move on this pair, that is 2007-2010.

If you want to survive,you must use the same risk at any given moment and do not try to be creative with Lots...

USD/JPY (Daily):

The price is now forming a reversal structure at the major support area.
If the local resistance is broken, then we may see the beginning of a medium-term upward movement towards the resistance zone.
Currently we may observe a price action pattern at the trend line.

USDJPY price action on the H4 time frame is presently ambivalent. Bulls pushed back the bearish retest of the 151.660 horizontal support area before price action turned sideways. The short-term technical impulse favours bears more than bulls.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.

You are absolutely right, but you don't know what it will be until it does happen, all you can do is manage risk.
Currently the struggle is visible in major pairs, the market is choppy and there's a lot of false moves.

Recently, when the value of the yen rises, the Nikkei average stock price has tended to fall, and it seems that the Bank of Japan is in a difficult position to decide to raise interest rates sooner than expected. This sentiment is evidenced by the rise in the dollar during Asian trading hours today.

The interest rate of the Japanese yen is now 0.25%, but the interest rate of the US dollar is 5.25%, so it may be a long time before the interest rate differential between Japan and the US is reversed. If the interest rate of the Japanese yen rises further and the Nikkei average stock price falls, the Japanese economy will cool down.

The rapid appreciation of the yen has led to a collapse in Japanese stock prices, but raising interest rates will make it difficult for small and medium-sized Japanese companies, which account for 98% of the total, to invest, and the Japanese economy will decline. In the medium to long term, the value of the dollar will rise.

USD/JPY...

Alright, the main Support for this pair seems to be at around 145 and this is the price I will be waiting for and then I'll start loading on longs from there and will add more on pretty much every decent retracement. As of now, I will not open any longs until this target is reached (145).

USDJPY daily chart from a geometric point of view: the rising angle was 30 degrees....the red lines are a half and a quarter...the blue lines 3 quarters and a third (7.5°). At the same price is 38.2% of the circle and also the descending angular trendline of 292.5°=67.5 up, so it is too steep to hold for long....FAKE OR BREACK??

Although USDJPY price action on the H4 time frame is in a bearish mode, there is a decline in bearish momentum. We may still see a bullish retest of a intra-day value area before further bearish.
