News can go either way. Bad USD news and it can still go up and visa versa. 2383 is 38% fib and a good start point to start taking profit. I know id be happy with that price but part of the thing that I do wrong is I don't let my plays actually play out and i leave a lot on the table. So i will gradually release my longs starting with the highest priced one first and then see what PA is telling me. My typical way of thinking is close all at once when money is good and to be honest id have already closed my longs now if i was still in that kinda mind set lol.

The pa matches one of retracement, pullback, slow and choppy.
If you look at the sell off (thrust down) we should continue down after this is finished.

Price goes up before news and holds make me believe news will be good for USD. They want it high so they can get as many bulls as possible. However sometimes they do switch it up and buy before news then news assists getting the price to move how they want. All that is gambling though and es no bueno lol.

yes with the impulsive downmove and break of 167.5 it is technically now a reversal on the daily. Usually we can expect a corrective upmove after the break and then another impulse down. Imo there is also another possibility that if we get a sharp upmove instead of a correction, we could even break the high again before it finally falls. Reason is that I am personally not 100% convinced yet of this drop because the fundamentals havent changed too much and the rate differentials are still very high. This whole move could have been just a long squeeze or further intervention. However for me personally it doesnt matter too much, I am more a short term trader and just observe how the market behaves from here. Though I think next week boj decision will give another huge move in either direction.

I feel like its one of those buy the rumor sell the news kind of things. BOJ been threating for a while now. Maybe this correction will sway them or maybe not. Its def not a hold during that time.
