I hear this for the first time. Please refer me to where a „1% risk combined per trade/idea“ is written on FTMO‘s website.

I talked to them a few days ago and they told me there is no specific percentage risk limit on a individual per trade base.

It's not written on their website, other than their suggestion in their tips on their blog: https://ftmo.com/en/gambling-is-not-...to-make-money/

However, they have frequently enforced this on funded accounts, just not on evals. They can enforce any rule they want to impose on you.

Okay. I’ve personally never heard of a person who had to agree to new terms or a funded trader at FTMO affected by a risk per trade limit other than the 5% daily drawdown limit.

Yeah, FTMO has often reduced overall risk % or leverage to reduce exposure on funded traders. They don't care if you use 1:100 leverage on the evals, but they don't like more than 1:5 or so on funded accounts. It's not written anywhere to my knowledge, but they will contact you and enforce it if you want to continue if you risk too much too often and look like a gambler to them. You either agree or lose the account.

Asia session trade hoping to tp hit before London open... this time aiming big 40 points which is totally against my 10-20 pointssecret sauce (PLus no more trailing can hold longer)... Reason being yesterday was huge selloff so gut feeling is asia will move it higher befoere NY make a new low or test the low . This is pure experience trades coz i have seen this DOW f**kery so many times....

I seems you didn't understand what I said or you have made up your mind on what to say. If their rule says I can risk 5% per day and I risk 2.7% on Gold, is that a violation of the rule? How could you easily pass phase one challenge by risking 0.5% on each trade except you do not have any other job beside trading. I have paid job and I am only trading whenever I am off duty for side earning. I picked most of my trades on H4 chart and it's nearly impossible to trade Gold on that chart without risking up to 2% on a trade.

I copied part of their mail and showed you but you are still saying I was lucky they didn't ban me. How could you ban someone who hasn't violated written rules? Do you or they expect me to be checking what's in their mind before trading.

I've screen shot the entire mail and attached here (my name is covered in the mail because I've agreed to their suggestion) and you can point where I violated any of their rules. They have been paying directly into my bank account in England and their payments are so fast. I am only pointing out here for others who may still think that can have up to 4% floating loss (either on a single trade or cumulative positions).

It doesn't matter now. Your cumulative floating loss must not exceed 1% on funded account to be in their good book.
thank you everyone for posts about FTMO. Swing account is very good option nowadays. I will keep in mind if get funded account to not risk more than 1% anyway it will keep my account alive longer.

Can we trade crypto during weekend on swing account??

They talk of same side betting without risk management.

As long as you do not violate loss rules, they should not stop payouts.

Cumulative floating loss and maximum daily loss aren’t the same thing. They don’t want more than 1% risk in open trades at once essentially. You can still lose 5x in a day on 5 different trade ideas if each had a cumulative 1% risk (regardless how many individual trades each idea was to break that 1% into smaller trades). I use 1% of my drawdown and not the account size and no one has ever complained about that.

Got it.

In open trades, they do not want more than 1 % DD.

However in a day 5 % dd and 10 % over all dd rule is fine.

The Models so far:

Model 1.
