EUR/USD managed to breach the 1.0922 resistance level and climbed to 1.0945 earlier today, buoyed by improved market sentiment and the belief that the US dollar is fully priced in for a September rate cut. However, after better than expected US news the pair encountered a robust bullish barrier at 1.0948 and failed to break through, ultimately falling back within a previous trading range.
Currently, the previous resistance level of 1.0922 has turned into a support level, with additional support found at 1.08950, preventing a steeper decline. If the pair maintains its position above these support levels and consolidates, it could encounter further resistance near 1.0960/67.
Conversely, a break below the current support could prompt a shift from the recent bullish trend to a more consolidative phase as traders await further news and economic data to determine the pair's direction.
Keep an eye on key support and resistance levels and monitor market sentiment, as these factors will likely influence EUR/USD's movements in the near term.
