The most interesting major central bank meeting / decision by far this month comes at the very end of July and it's that of Bank of Japan. For those interested BoJ is ready to take decisive actions , in rates and bonds buying , that can strongly reverse the Yen drop to 38 years lows. ECB and Fed July decisions are of less interest and both will wait for new data until they reassess their steps in September. The Yen will be on the spotlight.

Imho BOJ is not “waiting” for FED to act, they exactly know when they will act. Everything what is happening between (allies) central banks are all orchestrated.

USDJPY price action on the daily time frame is in a bearish mode. On Thursday it made a bearish drive to retest the 155.40/158.20/155.40 horizontal support zone (blue) but met a bullish challenge. However, a follow-up price action on Friday printed a bearish candlestick that closed at the upper part of the zone. Technically, we can expect further bearish move within the zone, at least in the short term. I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper. KP {image}
