The EUR/USD climbed to a high of 1.0858, surpassing the 1.0852 resistance level this morning. This surge came as traders anticipated softer US inflation numbers. The subsequent release of economic data showed a greater slowdown in inflation than initially predicted, fueling speculation of a potential rate cut in September.

These expectations drove the pair up to 1.0900 before it retreated towards support levels.
On Friday, the US PPI release may induce more volatility in the market. If EUR/USD maintains its upward momentum after consolidation below 1.0900, it could target 1.0916 and 1.0930. However, a stronger than expected PPI release may result in a break below the 1.0840/45 support zone, pushing the pair towards 1.0800 or possibly lower levels.

EUR/USD consolidated above 1.0860 support at Asia and now trading below but towards 1.0884/90 resistance zone. More resistance is at yesterdays high at 1.0900 if news today favor more upside. A break of 1.0860 low should lead next the price lower at 1.0840/45 significant support. Have a great day ahead!

Butterflies not withstanding...Its all about Dixy.

DXY daily. Sitting on solid historical resistance at 104.50.Its also confluence with daily 200 moving average.
A daily close below 104.50 opens up GU, EU, etc to upside and the ranges are all broken. BOJ assisted downside for UJ.

Core PPI would need to come in hot and heavy and at odds with yesterdays CPI to reverse .

I'm sitting with short positions on gold from 2418 ish, in small profit but struggling for convincing theories as to where we go from here.
Is 2390 going to be it? My bias is short, since we are high.....but thats all I've got.

Happy to consider all theories.
