I've been testing your trade entries, and I'm impressed! Out of 10 trades, 8-9 are winning entries, which is a fantastic.

I'm encountering an issue. As @eelfranz mentioned, I enter a trade when the
TDI crosses, which I've been doing. However, after 4 hours, I notice that the
candle, which initially appeared to be bouncing, actually
reversed direction (the same candle I entered as it crossed is the one that
reversed after 4 hours).

This can be observed in my XAUUSD entry.

When I noticed gold bouncing, I entered at the fresh candle, but after 4 hours,
the bounce didn't materialize, and the green line is now crossing the red line.

You can see the XAUUSD fresh candle where I entered in my previous post #146,965.

For a better TP, you should use some tool to define the liquidity point where the green line goes flat and the Price goes against you. You can look for the pivot point (Davit pivot), basic PASR from the strats threats which is a timeless lesson for everyone. For some pairs that have Greenline ranging around redline, you can take TP in the higher timeframe where the red line eliminates all the noises or TP when price cross 5MA-3 or EMA again.

A bounce trade I have found is far more effective when used in a trending move after a pullback as a continuation. When you look at H4 it is ranging at the moment, but the D1 TDI is facing upwards and its usually a good idea to check the timeframe higher before pulling the trigger.

- No.1 is the Price Action which will determine the market Big Picture and the Market Type conditions,

- No.2 is the Stoch(8,3,3) which was added to the original 5-Method

- No.3 is the lagging TDI which was added as the helping indicator for intermediate+ traders

When trading the Daily chart, learn what the OP said many years ago....

you have at this for many years much longer than most members here.

Have you made any money with the TDI?

Look carefully at his charts before and after, there was no Price Action at Support/Resistance and where it shows a PA bounce....there was no price action bounce

Read, study and take notes ....

Learn to read the candles and its PA then what the TDI is telling you.

You need to get into my head and listen to the voices in my head they tell me to do all sorts of things ...

I trained those voices over many years and since the Fukushima Tsunami Mar 2011, I have developed the Mental Strategies of being a Top TMS 5-Method Trader

Hi NolanFelix,

You can wait for the current candle to close and form a TDI signal to entry at open of next candle.

As shown in your 2 charts of different times, the candle was still forming (before it closed at the H4 mark of your broker), candle body also changed color as you can see.

Following BigE’s TMS, the trade setup was a buy with profit in 2 candles later (#11 BigE’s way to trade H4, closing trades after 2 candles=8 hours)

In this way, your alerts should set to “once per bar close” on TradingView.

good to see you around in the TMS thread.

BigE mentioned that in TMS method, TDI bounce entries are for strong price movements, re-enter trades after a TDI cross entry setup.
